The hotel was beautiful. The service was exceptional. It was in a safe place neighborhood and they drive you to the night market every night. If you’ve travelled a long way I suggest the Coco Room. The tub was amazing after a long journey from the states. It’s clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.
I stayed at The Rainforest Boutique Hotel for five days with my family - three children, one of them a baby. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very charming and the resort and the two pools was kept really neat. The pools were great. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is somewhat outside downtown Chiang Mai (which by the way is a wonderful city) and you pay around 150 bath to go there by tuk-tuk. This was no problem for us, since we also had some day tours to the national park etc. and all in all it was cheaper for us to stay outside the city. My best recommendations for this place!
Staff are very helpful and breakfast buffet was unreal with an omelette bar as well, staff helped me track down my phone as well I had lost. Great service. Will stay here again. Also Super close to chiang mai train station and cost 100 -200 baht to tuk tuk or taxi to night market or other places. Also has free shuttle at 8pm , helpful with booking excursions as well.
We had great days staying here. Our room was very clean and neat with beautiful furnishing. The Hotel staff was very friendly, courteus and helpful at any time. Thank you for lovely days in Chiang Mai.
Lovely hotel. We stayed in the boutique side of the hotel and the room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bed was massive and the bathroom was great. Separate shower, toilet and bath area. The hotel itself is great with the complimentary breakfast being good. The selection is small but the omelettes are very tasty. The hotel provides a free bus into the night bazaar each night which saves you time and effort finding a taxi! Mr lucky the driver gives a speech / tour on the way there... The WiFi is the only real downside to the hotel as it can be patchy which can get in the way when trying to make plans on where to visit etc Also the hotel dog is friendly! (Not sure if he lives there or not but enjoyed to wait at reception in his lovely jumper
Love the open vibes , wood and one of a kind place. I really recommend paying a few extra $$ and stay in the boutique side. I went with the cheaper promo with a room in the tower and quickly upgraded. 'Twas worth every penny. The room (112) was so spacious , clean with separate outside round tub ...stones and statues. soo nice. Even I didn't have time to enjoy all the aminities as I was on the move most of the time , coming bk a night was a real treat
We been here for 1st visited as honeymoon and birthday celebrate, it was a quite satifaction stay as honeymoon set up and birthday surprise!! in room . We would like to say a very Big thanks to everyone for excellent service. It was really outstanding. "Appreciated" 😊 The hotel definitely is an excellent proposition! One can enjoy the best service here. Staffs at front lobby her name "Khun Cake", concierge(Bellman), restaurant and housekeeping team were helpful and polite. Especailly the staff who escort us to the room after checked in, sorry that we don't know his name. He provided excellent service. Moreover we particularly want to comment "Khun Top" and all bellman staff that alwalys smile 😊 from the first that we arrived untill we left. Well, overall was great!!! We hope one day we will come back and stay here again soon. Best regard, Tanajak & Tea 😊
Surprised that a room for 4 actually was 2 rooms. Very good service , the reception is very friendly and help in every situation. Free nightly shuttle one way to night market. Swimming pools and restaurants are really nice.
Do NOT believe the reviews! They are misleading. The photographs make the rooms look much better than they actually are. I'm not picky about stains, dust, dirt and don't need luxury accommodations but the negatives at this hotel outweigh the positives. I'm rating this based on the 3 star hotel class and the price point I paid. BAD: 1. Hard beds! I'm talking about sleeping on the floor hard. It seems as if you're sleeping on the boxspring instead of a mattress. That's how hard it feels. No joke! I asked another guest who had a nicer upgraded room and their bed was the same. I'm the type of person that prefers a firm bed but this really isn't a mattress at all. You have been warned. You will hate it and wake up throughout the night because it's so uncomfortable and walk around all day with a sore body. 2. Noisy! You can hear everything. Your neighbors talking, your neighbors tv, people slamming their doors, people walking down the hallway. The walls are super thin so not only can you hear them, they can hear you. When someone knocks on your neighbor's door, it sounds like they're knocking on your door. 3. Terrible bathroom configuration! The spout on the sink is so short, you cannot wash your hands without spilling water. The shower has a half wall so if you're not extremely careful, you will splash water all over the floor and toilet. While I understand this is normal for some countries to shower over toilets, it is not comfortable for me and if I had known this was the case I would not have stayed here. The sealing around the shower area is extremely dirty. Water had sprayed there and it ran black. It was so dark I thought the actual water coming out was black but it was just around the tub that was filthy. 4. The air conditioning leaks! Water dropped all over my stuff. My purse, book and present for my friend got wet. The guy came with a blower which he accessed the unit from the bathroom and blew even more water out of the air con unit. Because there's nowhere to sit in the room other than your bed, and my bed was right next to the air con, I had to sit on the other twin bed crowding my sister. I had room service deliver dinner and they brought the food right when the guy got there with the blower so I couldn't eat. My food got cold. I read previous reviews that said their air con leaked as well so this isn't a one time maintenance issue but more of an older place that needs lots of renovation. 5. Location is not good. I chose a place further from town for the peace and quiet. But it is not peaceful nor quiet which is a waste of money because now I have to take taxis everywhere. There is nothing within walking distance. The hotel is located in a small side road which is narrow, bumpy, and uphill. You have to take a taxi into town every time costing you 100-150 baht. Coming back the taxis charge more like 150-200. I have to haggle and go through 3 drivers to get the 150 price even though I've paid 100 the day before. I would rather have stayed near the noisy town center and walk everywhere. Good: 1. Staff is friendly. They are nice and helpful even if some don't understand what you're saying. 2. Breakfast buffet is decent. There are many Thai and Western choices. Curry, fried rice, noodles, soup, fresh fruit, pancakes, bacon, potatoes, and made to order eggs. There are juices and coffee too. The seating area is lovely and large. 3. Free wifi. It's spotty and sometimes logs you out and you have to log back in. It's also a little slow. But it'll get the job done. 4. The room service food was fast and tasty. Even though I ate my food cold, it was good. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp, chicken satay, and mango sticky rice. I heard from another guest that the food they ate wasn't so great but they ordered western food. Maybe that made a difference. OVERALL: NOT Recommended. I will NOT stay here again. The small inconveniences alone would be passable. However, with so many of them affecting you throughout the day, you don't get to enjoy your vacation. I would rather find another hotel closer towards the center for the same price and sleep on a regular bed or pay more for better accommodations. This place is like a prettier version of a hostel.
We stayed here at the beginning of October for a week. The hotel was excellent. The staff were so nice and helped you with anything you asked. They really went out of their way. The swimming pools are great and really clean as is all the communal areas. The restaurant is really good too and their is a great selection for breakfast. We had a family suite with two rooms. It was a brilliant room with 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. The hotel is situated just outside the city. You can take the nightly free shuttle bus but a taxi from just outside was really cheap and getting back at night was never a problem you can get a tuk tuk for about 120bht for everyone. The girls in the front desk were so nice they really treated out daughter like a little princess. We went on a cooking class which the girls managed to book for us really last minute. I would really recommend the rainforest boutique and Chiang Mai. It really is a great place to go for a holiday.
