Our 3 night stay at this beautiful hotel was perfect. The staff are lovely and the room was superb. The breakfast was great as it was nice to be able to order the main off the menu and have something different each day. There was also a buffet for all the usual cereal, toast, fruit etc. The pool is great although the mosquitoes were bad around 5pm so bring insect repellent! The position was very close to the night bazaar and restaurants - just 5 min. walk. Be sure to stay at the Ping Nakara - you wont be disappointed.

Well if you appreciate class, detail and a little bit of history this is your place. The design Of the hotel is colonial. The rooms are just beautiful. The hotel itself has a library with information on historic and modern day Chiang Mai. Food quality is high, which you will come to appreciate as you explore other locations.

Comfortable rooms and exceptionally friendly staff.Visited in May with family..Rooms were very spacious and Spa was also great .Very close to the night market ( within walking distance) and good food as well

From the moment that Nui picked us up at the Chiang Mai Airport, with the 1970 Merc, seeing her beautiful smile set the tone of our stay with all at the Ping Nakara. Check in was a breeze, the welcome was Fantastic. Nui showed us around the beautiful Ping Nakara and told us when Happy Hour was each day. We also met the bubbly Jeni who looked after us drink and food wise whilst we were there. Nui escorted us to our Deluxe Room, 309, complete with balcony and plenty of space, separate toilet, that flushed! ( a luxury after our Bangkok stay). A separate rain shower and a deep bathtub. Also included in our stay was a mini bar that was refilled every day, Nui told us if we required more water just to ask for it, nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Ping Nakara, they greeted us every morning with happiness and concern. Whenever we wished to go out, they either organised a tuk tuk, and the price, or one of their great drivers took us in the Merc, complimentary. The breakfast was more than plentiful and the chef had a very light hand, the croissants were the best I have ever eaten, including Paris, and the pancakes and waffles were to die for! Nest organised a car and driver for us to hire to go on expeditions and she even accompanied us on our first shopping expedition to assist with translating! Mon, Praer and the Gentleman on reception ( sorry I have forgotten your name) were soo helpful and attentive. We ate most nights at the in house restaurant as the food was soo delicious and cleanly prepared, Jeni and O were always helpful with recommendations and offers to accommodate our tastes. The price was a little higher than you will find at some of the outside restaurants, but it was worth it. We did eat at a few outside restaurants but we kept coming back to home. We were surprised close to the end of our stay to find out that as we were long stay clients we were receiving 15% off our dinning bill. I had 2 wonderful ayruvedic treatments at the spa, besides being relaxing, they were very therapeutic as I had arrived with a bulging disc in my back and in a fair amount of pain and these treatments relieved this to a great extent and assisted me to become more mobile. When we had booked the restaurant, 1921, 5 minutes walk up the road for a special dinner, the reception at the Ping Nakara insisted on having their driver take us their in the Merc, which of course added to our night! Housekeeping kept the room very clean ad provided a turn down service complete with Camomile Flower Tea every night. Sitting in the Library reading the complimentary paper, playing chest on the patio overlooking the pool and garden whilst enjoying a cold Singha or tropical juice was heaven! We had a lovely chat to the Manager, we hope that you have recovered from your cold! We also had lunch at the Nakara Jardin, a separate business, located on the same land. the food was very enjoyable, French bistro and pastries but more on the pricey side for Thailand. We were also driven to the airport by Beir when we left. In general we loved the Ping Nakara and all of their staff and miss them very much.

If you are one for boutique hotels, try this one. Delightful. Rooms are larger than most. Very intimate surroundings. And the restaurant is very good. Wifi is slow, as is the usual complaint about this hotel. There is no password required, and I suspect that this is the reason. I was getting the network of the hotel across, and that was secured. Service was excellent.

If you are considering a trip to Chiang Mai, consider a stay at the Ping Nakara. From the moment we checked in until well after we checked out the staff were wonderful. The room was tastefully furnished, big and airy with a large balcony. The breakfast spread initially looks slightly meagre, however we both walked away having eaten as well, if not better than we have in much larger hotels. The food is lovely and not overly priced. We will stay here again in the future...

What a wonderful hotel to stay at. Everything was perfect. The front desk was very attentive in meeting our needs. The restaurant serves excellent meals and great service. Our room was well appointed and the grounds are immaculate. Housekeeping did a great job in keeping our clean. The bellboys were respectful and courteous. The location is central to everything and within walking distance to the night bazaar and historic temples. We highly recommend the hotel and plan to stay there again.

SO relaxing! Beautiful hotel and the staff were friendly and attentive. A sanctuary in Chiang Mai. Great breakfast made to order with continental buffet, had lunch there too with was good - especially the mango & sticky rice. Short walk to the night market and 10/15 mins walk to the old town. The hotel even gave us a lift in their vintage Mercedes when we checked out. I'd highly recommend a stay here if you're looking for a relaxing couples stay away from it all.

Beautiful little hotel, fairly newly built but in a traditional style and done very well. Lovely pool, friendly staff, good breakfast. Great location too - only a couple of miles from the airport and close to night markets. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful holiday at this lovely resort. Excellent service by the staff. Mr. Noom the tour guide was very good too. He took us to some very good tourist spots and told us a lot about Thai history. I strongly recommend him to other tourists as well. Keep up the good work👍🏻👍🏻
