I love this hotel so much!i like the trees and flowers all around there!it was really lovely🌺 I feel so peaceful there and I can enjoying my holiday.the stuff was very nice I wanna say thankyou for that
I stayed at Eco Resort for over 2 weeks with CAMP THAILAND. We loved staying here, the pool meets everyone's needs: kids can stay in the small pool, adults can swim like in a "proper" swimming pool and chill on the inflatables! The resort is very well kept, there s a path surrounded by a big garden, lots of trees and flowers that leads you to the dorms. Rooms are basic, the ones we were in were for 4 people. Toilets are comunal, at the end of the corridors. The hotel offers massages in your room, there is a lovely restaurant at the end of the resort where you can have international and local food. Staff is very friendly and helpful, reception is open 24/7. We locked ourselves out so many times but staff always helped us with a big smile on their faces. Wifi connection is quite good. The position of the Eco Resort is very strategic, only 20 mins walk from the night markets! Definitely recommend this hotel!
This is a very friendly hotel with a wonderful, understanding staff. The rooms are clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. The hotel grounds feel as if you are in a lush tropical location. The pool is great for doing laps. Both restaurants in the hotel serve top notch Thai dishes. All in all a great place to stay anytime you are in Chiang Mai.
This place is friendly and helpful with any questions that you have. They made several phone calls for me because I'm Deaf and unable to talk on the phone. I'm staying at Eco Resort if I come back to Chiang Mai, that's for sure. P.s. The pool feels amazing after long day of walking.
We, family of 4, very much enjoyed this "resort". Hidden behind large trees and a beautiful garden are a set of dorms (I believe 2 bed bedrooms also available) of which we occupied one of 4 beds. Restrooms, warm and clean showers are shared. Breakfast is ok, better than many seen before but nothing really special. Good access (20 minutes walk) to old city centre (not smack middle of town, but gives one the opportunity to get away from all the touristy stuff as well). Several dining options very close by from low end local eateries to David's kitchen next door (see my other review). Several massage parlors too of which I can certainly recommend the one closest to the traffic light one the right as you exit the resort left. Free wifi. O, great lap swimming pool and kiddies pool, see pictures elsewhere.
I stayed at Eco for the duration of a 3 week TEFL course. During this time, I encountered so much kindness and assistance from the staff - from the kitchen, to the reception, to the garden landscapers to the tour guide (make sure to pop him a visit - his name is Ali!) I was driven all the way to Mc Cormick hospital at 2:00 AM by the sweetest lady at reception. She didn't have to but she went so out of her way to ensure I was okay. She literally sat with me throughout the whole process! I will never forget this. Eco now feels like a home away from home. I recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. The garden and pool are lovely.
We spent eight days in a small village outside Theun called Phapang before we came to Chaing Mai for three days. The Eco resort had wonderful teak wood rooms with large twin beds, a private bathroom, TV on the wall, a large closet with lamps and bedside tables! The beds were so comfortable and the air conditioning was so great for cooling down. There were laundry facilities and the pool was large though not enough poolside chairs for all. The breakfast restaurant was part inside and out. Fresh fruit, coffee and a variety of Thai and American foods were in abundance in the morning. We would be gone from early until 2 or 3 when a dip in the pool and some quiet time in the room or having a massage or food massage was just the ticket! Other travelor's were fun to share with while waiting for an uber car or taxi. The Eco Resort has a beautiful front lobby with a gathering room and TV behind the massage area. There is a path that we walked along to go back to the rooms and pool! We paid $30 a night for two of us and they cleaned the room and made beds daily! There were families, couples and singles.
I was positively surprised by the resort. The resort itself was really cozy. It had it's different areas connected with paths surrounded by flowers, lawns and other vegetation. By night it was nice walking around at the resort with all warm lights. The staff was quite friendly, however their English wasn't always the best which could cause some misunderstandings. Pool was big and had enough room to lie down besides it. Not that many sun chairs, but at least enough mattresses. Rooms where simple but clean. (I stayed at 4 bed dorm) The beds were good, and so was the A/C. Got some mosquitoes at night and it felt like it was more and more, don't know where they came from. With some bug repellent you're good to go. The toilets for the dorms near the reception were awesome. Really nice design. Quite clean as well. I liked the restaurant at the resort. Nice atmosphere. The staff were really friendly (but really bad at English). Quite a lot of different dishes at around 120 baht. If you want cheaper it's just to walk outside of the resort and you will find a couple of street food restaurants with prices of ~60 to 70 baht, where mostly locals seemed to be eating. At the restaurant of the resort you could also buy lots of smoothies, cold and warm beverages and drinks. 60 for most cold beverages. Drinks at ~130-160. The breakfast was not to big but still had 2 hot dishes, pancakes or toasts, normal toast, cereal and yoghurt, juice, coffee, tea and fruits. The spa was a nice addition. Really friendly. I used the GoBeyondAsia help desk a couple of times. The location isn't maybe the most fantastic, but it's pretty quick to walk to the night bazar, supermarket, 7-eleven and so on. The old town takes a bit longer to walk to.
The rooms are clean. Good A/C and a mosqito net is a big plus. The pool literally saved me since 37-38 degrees celcius outside (that is why I booked at this place). I had a great thai massage at the spa! It is not in the best location in regards of proximity to centrum. Didnt notice too many restaurants around. The staff was helpful but would be better if they had a bit better english skills. Had some problems understanding each other. Also when asking for a taxi to be ordered for airport transfer some other guest at the hotel took it, when asking for a new one 10 minutes later I got a motorbimd riksha not a taxi and a very unpleasant grumpy driver who yelled at me for not having the exact amount of money. Breakfast is nice, especially the yogurt!
Unfortunately we stayed at this hotel for 4 days, the place is not worth to visit. We stayed first 2 days at 12 people dorm as a group and got accused of stealing 2 towels, they would not let us check in to the new rooms we ordered at their place as well. Well, after checking out the second time we get accused of stealing a key now, yet we delivered the 2 keys we've had. So if you hate greedy people don't go to eco resort cause they do whatever they can to get more money.
