The staff was very responsive and the hotels Resturuant on the 24 floor was amazing
Near Night Market but I don't like the noise and pollution.
Had a really nice pool area..WIFI worked well and the staff was good.
We chose this property for the bathtubs in the room and swimming pool. The bathtub did not work and the pool area could have been cleaner.
Very comfortable lobby, with a decent bar and good dining options. Actual rooms are a bit dated but staff does a great job with maintenance and cleaning.
Close to everything. Foof was grea. Room was saatisfactor. Within walking distance to the market.
Nice hotel with all amenities. Bed a bit hard as is common in some Thai hotels
Old hotel, needs more elivators but great location its close to the night market. We were sleeping in high flor so the view was great.
This hotel is close to everything . Helpful staff but not as friendly as they should be. I enjoyed the stay there and will stay again
The staff is amazing! We come once a year and the staff remembers us - truely wonderful customer relations! The breakfast is always great and the ladies at the check in and check out are always helpful and friendly!
Shotty plumbing fixes, faucets move, leak slow drains. Simple internet tips to clean mold, recaulking around shower. I stayed all totaled over 5 weeks. There are a few bugs crawling around the breakfast juice dispenser.
Room air conditioning temp setting did nothing. Was too hot at times. Took two requests Rio get sink drain repaired. Then poor tape 'fix' let go and sink drain lift quick working again. Steam room was dangerously hot with no access to control. Jacuzzi was too cold and no access to temp control.
Pros: Location, Wifi, Pool, Gym, Sauna, Steam, Air Conditioning works well, Large rooms Cons: older building, ambivalent staff, ants in some rooms, thin walls (can hear even normal conversations from neighboring tooms). Tip: ask for non-joiner room. I moved from a room with a joiner-door to a room without a joiner-door and the noise level was significantly improved. I'm a light sleeper so it was crucial for me and allowed me to get decent sleep. Tip-2: definitely take a half-day trip to visit an elephant sanctuary (not riding on elephant backs)...but actually feeding a herd, mud bath and river bath with the herd. It was the best day-trip of my Thailand tour, with pickup and drop-off at hotel and home-cooked Thai meal, all for about $35 USD
This is a nice looking hotel, very convenient to the night bazaar, and an easy tuk tuk ride to most temples. I really liked my room and the facilities. At arrival they gave a ticket for after welcome drink, but nobody knew where to get it. The bar kept sending me to reception. Beware of the tour agency at the hotel, they wanted to sell me s tour to the golden triangle for 1800 bacht, and I got it for 800 at an agency in the streets. Last thing, I used their laundry service and asked many times if there was a surcharge and they said no. My laundry costed 440 bacht and at check out, they charged me a 250 bacht surcharge. I told them several times that I was told there was no surcharge, but they still charged me. When leaving, one of the hotel persons at the door asked me if I wanted a taxi, and since there are not many taxis in Chiang Mai, I said yes, thinking he was going to call a cab,but it turned out to be some company probably connected to them that charged me more than the metered taxi that brought me to town. Overall, nice looking hotel, but be careful, because they will squeeze money out of you in the friendliest way!
Exelent in everything very clean laundry and dry cleaning very fast and good
The hotel is centrally located in Chiangmai. It has an impressive appearance from the street. The staff is friendly and helpful. Check in was fast and trouble free. The rooms were large with comfortable beds and nice TVs. The only drawback from Duangtawan is the rooms appear to be old and not as clean as I expected.
Hotel (rooms) is not so clean. Food not so good. The hotel is OK for the money. The biggest plus is location.
