The location of the home was a very beautiful, quite area. The house is spacious and pretty, but lacked several things that could have easily been remedied. 1) no one contacted me with information on how to get in. I had to call VRBO and they had to reach out to the host. The host then gave me the wrong code to get in the gate. 2) upon walking in there is a smell of old smoke. 3) air conditioning was listed as an amenity, HOWEVER, it is window AC’s and not every bedroom had them! 2 out of the 5 bedrooms only had AC!! This is very misleading. It is June, with 90 degree heat. We couldn’t even use the lovely cabin (5th bedroom/3rd bathroom) because it was SO HOT with no AC. the other 2 bedrooms we had to take the mattresses and put them in areas with air conditioning. 4) the bed linens had some green bugs, cups had bugs in them, white towels were stained with large brown spots. 5) Only 6 plates are provided yet the house sleep 10! No dish towels or rags to do the dishes. The microwave and stove could not be used at the same time bc it would blow a breaker. The outside grill was provided, but no grill utensils. This place has the potential to be a GREAT place to stay, if only it was tended to with more detail. Seems like a good place during the winter, but the summer attention is lacking.
