Very quiet village. Close to pubs, shops, and rural walks. Only a 5-10 minute walk to city centre along the canal. No roads to cross on this beautiful walk into Chester.

Lovely peaceful stay.

Clean, roomy rooms. Clean secure garden. Parking for three cars.

Located in the heart of this pretty village which has been awarded Best Kept Village in Cheshire multiple times.

Guests can also enjoy country walks and around this historic village (mentioned in the Doomsday Book) which has newsagents and good local pubs - The Ring O Bells, the Cheshire Cat, and The Plough.

Take a walk to the large duck pond with an abundance of wildlife plus nesting swans and cygnets or a leisurely walk or cycle into town along the peaceful canal towpath.

Attractions include Chester’s historic, walled city center – 5 minutes drive away.

The booking process was easy so we assumed this would be a good stay. This was not so. We didn't hear from the owner on how to gain entry to the property until we were travelling there (6 hour drive away) to wish the keys were left for anyone to gain access and available after the check in time of 3pm, good job we weren't on time. It looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in weeks with hair and stains all over the floor downstairs. Two of the three bed linens had stains on the them! It stated that the property provided towels but for a booking of 5 they supplied 3! We had to go out and purchase some for the weekend. The garden was supposed to be per friendly but was severly overgrown and full of nettles, thank goodness we managed to get a pet sitter so we didn't have to let them out in it. Terrible house, would not recommend!
