Visited this hotel on a business trip this week on 18th-20th July 2017.. from the pics on the website it looked decent. That soon changed even on check in!!! I was greeted at check in with a hand in my face saying be back in a minute! Pleasant! Once she kindly assisted I was given room 103 an executive double room, I then had to ask the receptionist with the shocking attitude about breakfast times, the whereabouts of the restaurant, gym, pool and wifi all of which is the basics thats explained without asking at any hotel. Off to my room slightly annoyed just round the corner from reception and entered room 103, it was reeking of pee! The bath had a rust ring around it and the ceiling was covered in pee stains from above, the carpet was filthy and the room was dark and dank, air con not working and it was 29 degrees that day! I went back asking to be changed by the ever so delightful receptionist with a serious attitude problem. I asked for another room as room I was given was disgusting, I was asked what was wrong with it and explained to be returned with a roll of the eyes and a shrug of the shoulders! The next room 162 was not as bad but still had a damp smell about it! The tv compared to the 42" in room 103 was only about 14" viewed from the bed 12 feet away was tiny. Wifi?? You got x2 free 20 minute sessions and then had to pay £7 for 24 hours, towels in room were like tea towels, soap dispenser over the bath but none in the separate shower cubicle, bar and restaurant were on the second floor about a 7 minute walk from reception. Food was lovely tbh!!! At breakfast was questioned about paying for breakfast even though the booking was clear and included breakfast. This was probably a nice hotel in its day in the 70s but serious overhaul of equipment and staff required, its run on a shoestring and understaffed budget! Will never step foot in that place again... Where to begin ..... stayed in room 159 which was supposed to be a double executive room , two single beds pushed together , the hotel public bathrooms are straight through the wall so all you heard was the constant noise of people going to the bathroom as you can imagine not good . Bathroom light flickering as probably not wired right , no aircon in the room , no fridge , 16 inch tv about the same size as a laptop screen thats the room . Wifi was the next joke on the agenda 20 minutes free in your room per day or unlimited in the lobby but you had to re access every 20 minutes or you can buy wifi in your room for £7 per day , cant think of a hotel that does not offer free wifi throughout their hotel , breakfast and a £30 allowance per day through my work was questioned at every possible opportunity, one dark haired girl on reception was really ignorant and unhelpful most probably totally demoralised by working in this hotel . My work colleague had to be moved as his bathroom had rust on it and there was damp patches all over the ceiling . I cant stress this enough please please dont stay here you will regret it . Pity you cant upload videos i have a few crackers

We didn't even stay the night we were so appalled. The room smelt of smoke, cigarette on the windowsills. Bed was uneven as there was a wheel missing from it. Bath panel was hanging off and was so grungy. As we were just trying to have a nice night away from kids and life we just put on a brave face for the cheap price. Dinner and afternoon tea and bottle of wine were included so we took part in that and it was disappointing but "free" so couldn't complain. Wine came in a warm bottle and the Carvery was so low rate. The staff were trying their best but understaffed and clearly used to the chaos. We couldn't bring ourselves to stay. The manager was very understanding and apologetic and we were given a full refund. I do not recommend it at all but you'd put up with it if you had dogs. Lots of people with dogs.

What are people expecting for the money that they pay???. This hotel operated as a budget hotel for me as a person on a a h/b coach trip from the SE. It provided extremely good value to me and my wife & we would return. Things I didn't like first -- I couldn't make the key card locks work always: That needs sorting. The central courtyard/garden was lovely, but it misses the attention of a gardener. There seems to be some process of paying at the bar with vouchers that takes some time to execute, so the staff are playing paper chase rather than serving. My room was fine. But the towels were not. Tea/Coffee was good. I slept well in the bed. The breakfast were so well cooked & a delight. Evening meals were as you would expect on a budget holiday -- but well done on the variety: We enjoyed our 4 night here. Walk out & down Red Brow Lane to the canal in the valley - its such a lovely location.

Stayed for 1 night at this hotel with an amazing Groupon offer, food was very good & so was the staff & service we got, but the beds were not comfy at all. But for £59 for room dinner & breakfast & a bottle of wine i think the uncomfortable bed could be forgiven

Me and my partner were bought this joke place as a gift. We must not be liked much haha. Omg where to start ! Staff warned of damp painted " wet pain" signs. Work man hammering away in the gym, sawing and planing wood. 2 leering men with tattoos all over faces. Single use razors left in shower cubicles. Treatment time, gulp ! We was told we could upgrade for £50. I was asked to fill out my contact details with not just one blunt pencil but two. I was asked what treatment I would like; which needed complete guess work. I asked for a back massage.the young girl never asked if I had any health conditions and wouldn't of known even if told.i don't even know why I stayed ! I had oil slapped/ poured over my back.i told the girl she could be firmer as it wasn't even tickling. My alarm reminder for my medication started and the girl asked if I wanted her to turn it off for me. I said no as she was dripping in oil. Then to my surprise she let out the loudest sigh I have ever heard and I had a 13 year old son ! They should of paid us to go and be practised on. If I wrote every little thing down I would have terrible " repetitive strain syndrome" Here are some pics of our very brief stay.

Room was so dated and needs lots of repairs. It would be easier to close and totally re-furbish the place. Food was good, but nothing special. Breakfast was plentiful. Put a spolier on the weekend as it was a gift for my partners birthday, to round off an action packed adventure day in Frodsham.

Entrance and glass corridor (with pleasant outdoor seating) gave a false picture of the general state of the hotel. The rooms are very dated. Two bedside lights didn't work. The phone didn't work. The quality of the towels was poor. The ventilation to the room was terrible. It was so hot in the room was unbearable. The meal (as part of a groupon deal) was quite poor - no information as to what the soup consisted of. I felt I was queuing for school dinners again! The outside seating area by the bar was uninviting and right next to a very busy road. There was no sign of any staff clearing away tables the whole evening. The nearest ladies toilet had an Out of Order sign but was actually usable (all except one sink and one disgusting toilet). Friends staying in other rooms found nuts on the carpet upon entering the room (so obviously not vaccumed after the previous guest had vacated the room) as well as silverfish (alive and well and enjoying the warmth and damp room) - a real throwback to the 70s. A visit to the pool was also fairly disappointing - thank goodness the coach tour hadn't descended all at the same time as we would have been packed in like sardines! The "fun shower" turned out to just be a shower - how is that Fun???? Again there seemed to be no staff checking the changing rooms - wet towels overflowing in the bin and several shampoo bottles left on a shower cubicle floor. The icing on the cake was finding out that some of the peepholes in the room doors allowing those outside of the room to see through into the room (this was the case in 2 friends' rooms). Upon complaining to reception my friend was given a post it note!! Needless to say I won't be choosing Daresbury Park Hotel for a return stay, cheap deal or not!!!

Easily accessible from the motorway. The receptionist who checked us in on the Friday night very friendly and helpful. Large room with comfy bed and good blackout curtains. Didn't hear any noise from our neighbours at all. Very cheap price for the room which is probably due to the bathroom badly needing updating with new door frame, tiles badly need grouting and bath panel hanging off. Shower hot and powerful. Didn't like parking eye running the car park if could potentially incur a fine. On the whole very good value for money. Didn't use leisure club which I believe incurs an extra charge but have used it in the past.

Worst hotel that I have ever visited, I felt genuinely sorry for the staff having to work there and having to put up with complaints that they have no power to overcome such as the dreary food (worse than school dinners according to all of the nearby tables), faulty key cards and noisy water system. It's cheap for a reason.
