Our vacation in Temple Bay Resort was absolutely wonderful. It is located just off the scenic highway connecting Chennai with Pondicherry (East Coast Road). It feels like an entirely different world once you enter the resort. The reception staff was courteous and made us feel welcome. Our little one got a couple of toys from the reception staff, which made him happy. The initial check-in was fast. We were allotted a room as per our request (Pool view chalet on the 1st floor). Rooms are spacious, with separate walk-in dressing room/wardrobe. The first floor pool view rooms also come with a small balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom was neither too small nor very spacious; no bathtub in pool view chalets. Toiletries provided were adequate, and linens were fresh. The highlight of the resort is its swimming pools. One huge meandering pool, and another small infinity pool. Pools are well maintained; kids are provided with floating rings upon request. We spent a major time within these pools only. There are a few activities that the resort offers. However, most of them are chargeable. Honestly, we did not find time to check these activities because we were enjoying in the pool the entire time. There is a private beach area too that one can access. The complimentary breakfast spread was delicious with too many choices. We did not try lunch or dinner in the resort though. The staff in the resort were well mannered and courteous, ready to attend to any ofur needs. The resort is quite huge, so be prepared to walk a lot. Overall, our stay at Temple Bay was one of the best in recent times. Absolutely recommended.
there where lizzard in the room . We had taken pool view room . I found it difficult to stay with my wife and 3 Year old kid. We very to able to sleep properly as there where lizzard in the room . Room was good . Breakfast was very nice
The best part of the resort is the swimming pool . It's the best pool I have ever seen . Rooms are very spacious and well designed . Breakfast spread is wonderful from dosa to sausages to soup and noodles . Kids rooms are well equipped with all the latest games . Gym is also good. Beach is at a walkable distance . Great place to stay and relax
I have stayed here 3 times and have always been very satisfied. Property is beautiful, staff is very courteous, food is average specially during peak breakfast hours the staff is really overworked but they are nevertheless polite with the guests. SPA experience was good too
The rooms are super old. The restaurant has to be avoided : very expensive and the fish was much too much cooked... Breakfast is really like a factory... producing bad food ! Finally service is very poor ! People are not very friendly. For some of them even English seems to be complicated !
We went here on a team outing. Although I soon plan to take my family here. The property is big and well maintained. The pool is also quiet big. The staff are helping and courteous and the food is wonderful. Overall we had a great time.
Temple bay is a nice resort by the beach at Mahapalipuram. The ambience used to be way nicer and the resort was much more clean a few years ago. Staff are nice and warm. We were put up in a room that was slightly dated and hence the average rating. Breakfast was good but maintenance could be slightly better.
Nice resort, comfortably close for Chennai folks but outrageously expensive. The city of Mahabalipuram has literally nothing to explore spare the 1hr quickie around the Bas relief. You wouldn't pay extra at a say a Taj family vacation for bike rental & children's activities but Radisson clearly is an exception - paying a ransom per room night, and still shell out 25 rupees for a table game. Lesser said about the food the better, outrageously expensive again.
An excellent choice to have a fun time with family. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The swimming pool is inviting. The rooms and Chalets are well kept and hygienic. The food is superb. Overall a ten on ten.
This hotel location, beauty and staff are excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love stay here again. Breath taking view of the ocean and the shore temple right from our balcony. Easy access to the beach and beautiful sunrise views from our balcony.
