Stayed in ac room. Hotel has lift. Room and bathroom are clean and well furnished. Service is good. 5 min to railway station by auto. Road in front is very congested and the surrounding area is somewhat dirty. Need to walk 5 to 10 min to get to some good shop for mineral water etc. Complimentary breakfast was okay. Overall good for a short stay.
Though the property is average and offers budget accommodation, the staffs are cooperative and cordial. Their main advantage is the proximity to chennai central Rail Station. One can simply cross the road and enter into the Rail Station through the Railway Parcel Office entry. But one has to cross the Rail line to reach different platforms. The disadvantage is they don't have any restaurant. So they usually bring the food from nearby hotels for the boarder's taking money in advance. Overall not bad for small stay. We stayed for one night.
We stayed in another hotel in Chennai & our Agent could not get the same hotel again after our trip back from Tirupati. Hence he booked Bhimas Inn which was the worse of our trip. The room was unclean & the sheets were all dirty. The Air con/fan was not working properly and the same goes with the bathroom whereby it had rusty shower-head and unclean floor. We did not have a good sleep and was waiting to check out. The Hotel Management need to ensure at least clean sheets are provided for a good sleep and the rooms/bathrooms are given a makeover.
Its a decent budget hotel at very reasonable price for short stays. the rooms small but nice and clean. They also have food facility which was good and staff was good. Location was good near to station.
Good hotel for stay near chennai railway station. Nice and cozy room but only one thing, you order anything first they will collect the money from you then they service the same.No travel desk service but they suggest book ola cabs for local usage.
Hotel was good, though rooms were small but the atmosphere was pleasant. Breakfast available at the Hotel's restaurant is very good and give proper diet and many varieties in buffet, if you are looking for budgeted hotel then it is the perfect choice.
Although the hotel was very cheap out of the rest, it has no service. Rooms were terrible and there was no pest control. I got an allergy in my hand after staying there for 4 days. I generally wont recommend that hotel unless someone has a budget issue.
Yes it is very close to Chennai central railway station and it is a crowded place. The front office manager seems to be customers not needed type. They do need renovation of rooms as it is a very old hotel. But all said and done it is good for the travelers like me as it is good for money we spent on staying. Hotel has no restaurant of its own.
We had booked four double rooms for the whole family. One was for both my boys who loved it all - clean bathroom, soft beds, the service, etc....we would defintiely come and stay there. It is conveniently close to everything since it is located in Mylapore. What more can one want ? A definite "return stay" for us here.
This is one of the worst hotels I have come across. Location itself is in a main road that 24 hours you will be in midst of traffic! Reception was bad upon arrival. Be prepared to find your own space for parking your vehicle! Since the hotel is on the main road, you cant even think of parking your vehicle close by! There is a bar & restaurant which will always be full & especially during night, dont be surprised for some nuisances! I had booked 5 rooms at a stretch. But upon arrival we were offered only 3 rooms & asked to manage, but the advance was taken for 5 rooms in full! We had to find our own rooms with our luggage no room service was available! Half of the rooms do not have AC, if at all there is one, it will not be in working condition! worst experience was, power went off at around 3 am! no one knew what was happening, when called the reception no 1 was there to pick the call! imagine a peak summer night in Chennai without power, AC! when some representation was made to the reception, we were harassed by the staff there saying, this is what we can do & cant help you at the moment! Adding more to our surprise, we found that only this hotel didnt have power! and the genset was not running! Guess hotel had not paid the power bill & also no fuel in the generator! we had to use our mobile phones, torches to take bath, pack up & run, as we had to leave to Tirupathi by early morning! If you are looking for a average / good stay in Chennai, Bhima hotel is definitely not the place! beware you will be fooled for your money!
