5/5 star for all services ! Stayed for 3 nights everything was perfect and in order. Taj service is always the best . The hotel was centrally located as per my requirement food was great and good weather in nov to visit !
Stayed here on a 3 nights business trip. What I liked: Breakfast was very good every morning. Impeccable service by staff in all restaurants including Blend (rocking on a Friday night). Room size was ok. Housekeeping was good everyday. What I didn't like: My shower area had a strange smell all the time. It was like someone has put a lot of hair removing cream or bleach down the drain. The smell just never went. I was hardly in the room so not much of an issue but for others it might be. What could be better: Service at Kefi (roof top restaurant) could be improved. Maybe it was the rains, maybe they were just lazy.. They didn't want to set up a dinner table outside even when it was not raining. One doesn't get to enjoy lovely pleasant weather in Chennai that often. Value for money: I am not sure if I can say yes. Will I come again: If I have work in this part of town and for Blend (their bar) then Yes.
The customer care is too good... The buffet breakfast was just brilliant with the variety of dishes on offer... From South Indian dishes that were delicious with a twist in the preparation and some excellent chutneys to with them... I stuffed my face with this and my daughter ate to her hearts content on waffles, pancakes, doughnuts and what not... Of course there is food for those who don't know how to enjoy it 😬... The rooms are well maintained and the linen and bath towels crisp and clean.. The toilettories provided are adequate for two.. Again excellent quality... Check-in and Check-out are a breeze. The Indian cuisine restaurant served tasty North Indian cuisine.. Was a delicious.
To me Taj club house is most fantastic hotel in chennai beacause its modern accomodation and kind hospitality.when i stay there lots of people came here accross all over the india as well as other country.all the rooms are too fashionable and well decorated with expensive satue.
I stayed in the hotel for one night on a business trip. The checkin at around 9 pm was quick and smooth. After a quick freshining up in the room I had buffet dinner as I was feeling hungry. The food was good but not exciting. The service was also drab. The room was spacious, however I found the colourr scheme in the room a little off the mark - something which would not lift my mood, maybe my personal preference. The room was clean and had all the facilities that you would expect in a hotel of this category. Waht I found innovative was their pillow menu - pillows having various kinds of aromas to cater to different kinds of moods - soothing, sleep inducing etc. You have to order these from the housekeeping staff. When I ordered mine, I was surprised to see that they are not the regular 'Pillow sized' but of the size of small pouches that you can keep under or besides your pillow. I discarded my plans to go for a morning walk besides the Marina beach which is around 2 Kms from the hotel and instead woke up a little late in the morning as I wanted to rest myself properly before the days activities. After getting ready I had buffet breakfast. The spread for the breakfast was good, but again not as great as compared to other hotels I have stayed. The service was also not top notch. I checked out after having breakfast. A good decent property, but what stood out was the lack of enthusiasm in the service staff that I felt in the cafe during dineer & breakfast time.
The Taj Clubhouse is a great hotel. It has the usual high-end 5-star feel to it in the lobby and their rooms are (expectedly) nice; but it is their Greek restaurant, Kefi, that elevates the experience of the hotel to a new level. The decor of the restaurant transports you to another continent and the food is novel and creative. I would go there again just for the restaurant.
Our stay at the Taj was nice. Breakfast was brilliant, an array of choices for those who are veg and non-veg. The rooms were clean and a good size. We stayed in room 206. All the staff are friendly and made a point of saying hello and I wished us a pleasant day etc. The Security staff are welcoming, and extremely professional! The hotel is close to lots of places to visit and eat. The Express and Spencer Malls are close by. Use OLA or UBER if you want to get around Chennai. The hotel’s taxis service is extremely expensive! So, keep on using the local taxis’ or as we found OLA or UBER if you need to get around Chennai. Note. If you do not have access to a phone, the hotel will not contact OLA or UBER, so if you are from the UK, make sure you have access to a local phone number. If we were to visit Chennai again we will stay at the TAJ, as it is worth paying a little extra to stay somewhere pleasant and comfortable. Elaine & Raj
Stayed in this hotel during a short trip to Chennai. Hotel is located at the center of city but with silent and peaceful environment. Hotel have large room with cordial interiors and helpful staff. Two big shopping malls Express avenue and Spencer plaza are at walkable distance.
Nice place to stay with good rooms and food. The hotel is near the busy Mount Road, but the hotel environment is very silent. The rooms are well laid and comfortable. The food and service is very good. I will recommend this hotel for both business and personal stay.
Upon my arrival front desk was extremely helpful to accommodate my preferences may be due to low occupancy but I appreciate there standard talk and assistance. House keeping very prompt so does engineering for some unknown issue. We wanted to enjoy dinner in hotel but buffet at coffee shop not a attractive value for money spread and roof top restaurant closes by 11. Overall good experience.
