We knew we wouldn't have much time in Chengdu so we chose to stay at this hotel given its very close to the panda base research station - the main purpose for us coming. The hotel was good value and had a gym, pool and day spa. Be aware it's about 45 minutes from Chengdu town. We arrived on a late flight - no problem getting a reasonable taxi or checking in at the hotel. The staff were courteous and friendly with some English speakers. Handy being able to catch their free shuttle to panda base next morning and a return later in the day.

This hotel is over an hour away from City Center. The shuttle is very limited. It goes to the Panda Base regularly but downtown only once. We ended up needing to use taxis and the subway instead of the shuttle - which meant we were enroute over 2 hours a day. Staff had limited English skills. We discovered we could not interact with staff over the phone because of their limited English. The concierge department was young, friendly and had almost no English. We have spent time in China and are used to using translator apps etc but when your AC isn't working it would be nice to have people who can help you. The hotel is clean, breakfast was good and the grounds are quite lovely. If you only want to go to the Panda Base and are comfortable with basic Chinese - this is your place. If you want to see more of Chengdu and would like greater English support you might want to look elsewhere.

Hotel has Clean rooms, pool for kids, steam room for the hubby and a day spa for me! The massage was very relaxing, recommend trying it yourself. Hotel is close to pandas, can use hotel shuttle bus. ⭐️⭐️

Free breakfast and shuttle made this a very good value. The hotel is beautiful, clean, with a friendly staff. We got there early after our 14 hour flight from Los Angeles. Not a problem. They had our room ready within half an hour and we were soon fast asleep. The shuttle goes to the panda center and the subway entrance, if you want to go to the city center. They also pick you up at scheduled times. There is not a lot to do around the hotel but that was not a problem for us. The buffet breakfast was huge with both asian and western food as choices. I would choose this hotel again if we were to come back to Chengdu.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, the staff couldn't do enough to help you. We caught the shuttle to the panda reserve, which was very convenient. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice for everyone. Just one thing people should know, the taxi from the airport cost 150rmb but they put a 50% supplement on because they don't have a return fare, so it costs well over 200rmb. The hotel can order a taxi for the return trip to the airport for 150 without the supplement because the taxi will definitely get another fare from there.

Nice hotel with really nice and convenient rooms. Heating and air conditioning is central which made the rooms far too warm for the night which could be partially improved by opening the windows. Breakfast is very good and the staff is really nice. There are many local shops and restaurants in the surrounding but this is a residential area so you might struggle without native speaking company. Location is convenient to visit the panda but is not in the inner city.

This hotel is fantastic, modern, clean, and characteristic of a panda sanctuary. The pool is amazing, and has lovely gardens. Staff are friendly, and helpful. Communication is very good, and the staff have a good understanding of English. One man that stands out is Jason Tang, who welcomes guests on arrival. We were being " ripped off " from a Taxi driver, who tried to over charge us. Mr. Jason, soon sorted him out!!! Breakfasts are lovely, and the hotel is located very close to the Panda breeding grounds. The " bar" as such is a disappointment, but was soon made up by an evening brunch/ barbeque every evening that hosted unlimited drinks - wine and beer!!!

Stayed several nights and didn't sleep well for any of them. This was all due to the air conditioning staying on at the same hot temperature no matter what fan speed or temperature was selected. We asked reception to sort it on the first day and within minutes a man with a ladder appeared, monitored the temperature, removed a vent and then implied all working. The problem was the temperature then went up. We just accepted it at this stage as while staff were extremely friendly in the hotel their english was extremely poor and it was difficult communicating this. I know the hotel is in China but it is a big western chain so the front desk really should have a few speakers fluent in English (we also struggled once at the concierge desk as well to communicate). On the last night we could also hear a baby crying repeatedly throughout the night from one of the neighbouring rooms so the sound proofing of the rooms is also very poor. At check-in we were upgraded to a panda room for free. My advice to anybody considering paying for this is that it would be a complete waste of money. There are panda themed bed sheets and a couple panda ornaments but that is it. It made if feel like a kids bedroom. The other really disappointing aspect to this hotel was breakfast. They had a big conference going on for the first few days we stayed and they were just overwhelmed at breakfast. We also ended up having to share a table because there was nowhere to sit. Some of the food was also poor (croissant hard, waffles cold) but there was an okay selection of both western and chinese food. The positives for this hotel is that it is very near the panda base and good for visiting sites to the north outside Chengdu e.g. Baoguang temple. It was also very clean. It is a bit of a trek (45min-1hour) from the airport though and to the centre of the city (45min). There are also a few supermarkets and a bakery in the nearby vicinity that are useful to get supplies.

I stayed at this hotel for a second time and was able to spend more time in the hotel than my last visit. My room was spacious with a great view of the garden in the rear of the hotel. Clean windows would have made the view clearer however. The hotel is located in a residential area near the Chengdu Panda Base and has a complimentary shuttle. I enjoyed the quiet the area has to offer, no busy street traffic. I had the pleasure of meeting Andre in the hotel restaurant. He was pleasant and offered his personal service to make a person feel welcome and special. The breakfast was varied with Chinese and Western cuisine as was the dinner and lunch buffets. I look forward to my next visit.

Hotel was large and had a lovely reception area full of panda toys. Check in was a fairly slow and complicated process. Room I was in was clean bright and really good quality. I have stayed in many Chinese hotels and I was not overwhelmed by the staff here. Food was cold most of the time and really pretty poor quality. For me this hotel was a bit out of the way and too far from the city though was where I needed to be in Chengdu. I had drinks and coffee in the bar area which was pretty nice. Toilets in the reception area are pretty amazing and spotless.
