Fly to Mackay Airport (MKY) and be ready for moderate temperatures with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lows in the 50s. Transportation within the city is best accomplished by car, bus, taxi or coaches. The Festival of the Arts occurs every year through the month of July. The River Sessions Festival occurs annually in June and features various bands from around Australia.
