We’ll priced for the neighborhood. Always pay a bit more for ocean view.

This is very well maintained motel in absolutely beautiful surrounding. There is a private beach and a large lawn with plenty of chairs. We will be back!

Excellent location - beautiful view and access to beach.

The room was very clean and felt more like a bed & breakfast than a hotel room. Ideal location for walking to downtown Chatham. Lovely beach with chairs and towels provided. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

We only stayed one night as a change of scenery from living on the South Shore of MA. The room was clean, and the grounds great with young kids - a hammock, and a big basket of beach toys for them to use. I believe we were in Room 120, and it was a windy/stormy night, but the exterior door was not sealed properly with weatherstripping so it whistled all night long and we didn't get a good night's sleep as a result - unacceptable on the water side of any hotel, the doors should be bulletproof. Cold air could be felt blasting in the door. I mentioned it to the woman at the front desk, who apologized and made note of it but offered no discount on our stay. The bathroom appeared to have been somewhat recently renovated and the entire interior of the space was spotless, but the head height in the shower/tub was limited (i'm only 5'-10") The latch that allows the tub to be filled (we had small children with us) was difficult to use, almost like it was not intended to let us fill the tub up. The small private beach had 2 dead seagull sized birds on it, and we noticed that to be a problem at nearby beaches as well, so no blame on the Hawhtorne staff for that, but it kind of spoiled the beach experience when combined with the litter on the beach as well. Some attention should be paid to the beach to make it enjoyable. Overall it was OK, but could be better.

The location of this hotel, the views and proximity to town are unbeatable, and the hotel itself is very comfortable and staff friendly and professional, includes a coffee and tea station all day - fabulous spot.
