Hôte formidable

Des hôtes vraiment formidable Barbara et Kevin sont très sympathique et très accueillant. La location est vraiment très propre et décoré avec goût. La literie est incroyable (très important je trouve ) Et le petit déjeuné amène tout les matins…. Que dire de plus… Je recommande à 1000% Merci encore

Should’ve Booked Longer

This property is a peaceful shangrila. Our hosts Barbara and Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The property is an enclosed peace of paradise. After cognac tasting, going to the local farmers market, kayak races and wandering the lovely village of Jarnac we always looked forward to returning to our gite. The pool is gorgeous, we did a bit of barbecue and to sit in the garden and listen to the birds was such a beautiful way to have a morning coffee or cup of tea. My only regret was that I hadn’t booked it for a longer duration. But, we will be back to rectify that mistake. Many thanks., Deb and Gary. You have created a little bit of magic.

Fabuleux !

La maison est très agréable et très bien agencée, décorée et dispose de tous les éléments de confort nécessaires. La piscine est parfaite. La grange pour déjeuner avec le barbecue est aussi très agréable quand il fait chaud. Barbara et Kevin sont aux petits soins et amènent tous les matins des viennoiseries et fruits avant le petit déjeuner. A recommander sans aucune réserve.

Un très joli WE de déconfinement

De la réservation jusqu’à notre départ, tout à été parfait. Cadre magnifique, une très jolie propriété et de belles prestations générales (piscine à 28 degrés, jacuzzi, salle de sport équipée avec soin, pétanque , badminton, …). Parfait pour occuper les enfants et passer de bons moments en famille. Les jardins sont entièrement clos et de plain-pied. Le gîte est spacieux, très bien équipé et décoré avec goût. Hyper propre. Nous étions 4 adultes avec 2 ados et un bébé. C’était parfait. Le vrai plus, c’est la salle aménagée dans la grange avec sa grande table, barbecue à gaz, plancha et …. le four à bois que nous avons utilisé pour une soirée Pizzas sur la pierre. Kevin et Barbara ont été de très bon conseil et aux petits soins pour préparer le feu 🔥 et faire de cette soirée une super expérience. En résumé un super WE de déconfinement pour découvrir Jarnac / Cognac en famille. Nous reviendrons certainement mais plus longtemps 😉

Pour un séjour parfait !

Tout simplement parfait ! Les hôtes sont adorables et aux petits soins. Les lieux sont très bien entretenus, tant l'extérieur que l'intérieur. A l'arrivée le gite était impeccablement propre. Le jacuzzi, chauffé, est très agréable. Aucun défaut à signaler !

Un séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans un très joli cadre. Les propriétaires sont très attentionnés tout en respectant notre vie privée. La propriété est très belle, bien entretenue, avec de nombreuses activités possibles pour les enfants comme pour les adultes. Le gîte Cognac est spacieux décoré avec goût et très bien équipé. De nombreuses petites attentions des propriétaires: panier d’accueil, pain/viennoiseries offerts tous matins... Merci Barbara et Kevin pour ce magnifique séjour.

Outstanding

Where do you start with this property. It is in a rural setting in an old cognac distillery lots of charm and character. The gite is very spacious and well set out. It is very very clean and has more comforts of life than we have experienced anywhere else. As for the hosts Kevin and Barbara they went out of their way to help with recommendations of places to visit and eat at. Even when a couple of us had medical issues they went out of their way to help us with the language and making bookings at the doctors. Overall we would highly recommend this gite if you are wanting to stay in the cognac area. Once again thank you for the outstanding accommodations that you offer. Let us not forget the lovely pool and hot tub.

Family Holiday

We had the most amazing stay at 1854. Barbara and Kevin were the perfect hosts and always on hand if needed. The gite was gorgeous and equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay, they even provide warm pastries to your door every morning. Our 5 year old adored the fantastic pool and the barn area and our 19 month old loved exploring the large courtyard. It's the best gite we have ever stayed in, we would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Picture perfection then go stay at Chassors!

Chassors was every bit as good as the pictures suggested but even then gave us a few more delightful surprises. It is perfectly placed with Cognac and Jarnac a few minutes away and also the lovely towns of Angouleme and Saintes only 30 minutes. Although why leave when you have a beautiful pool,a gym, bbq area and lovely gardens to enjoy. Barbara and Kevin were fantastic and always available with help and advice on where to visit.

Superb!

Words and photos can’t do justice to this superb stay! We stayed for 9nights as a family of 2 adults and 4 children with a 3rd adult joining us for 4 nights. There is so much space both inside and out, the gite has everything you could ever require and then some. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Barbara and Kevin went above and beyond as hosts, email communication before we arrived was swift and informative. They are so knowledgeable about the local area and helped us with booking tours. Always around if we needed them but yet it still felt like we had the place to ourselves on the days the second gite was empty. Every morning they left us fresh bread and maybe a wee surprise. A particular favourite for us all was using the original bread oven to make our pizzas one evening! Can’t recommend this place highly enough, so safe and secure for children, so peaceful for adults but with so many things to do on site we barely left! Loved sitting in the hot tub watching the children in the pool! Thanks again Kevin and Barbara, we hopefully will be back again!

Perfection

We stayed at this wonderful property with our kids aged 2 and 7 for 2 weeks in July. The gite is thoughtfully decorated and fully equipped with everything you might need. The pool is amazing and we spent many happy afternoons cooling off. Barb and Kevin are wonderful hosts, there if something is needed but never intrusive. The photos really don't do this place justice-it is a perfect escape and we cant wait to get back next year.

Un lieu d'exception avec des hôtes géniaux

Nous avons passé un séjour vraiment génial dans un lieu exceptionnel. On est d'abord ébloui par l'extérieur et encore plus par le décor raffiné et la qualité des prestations. Très gentil, très accueillant , très propre , wifi, présent en cas de besoin , ramène les croissants/ pains au chocolat le matin , panier de bienvenue de bonne qualité, salle de jeux , télé avec chaîne en anglais/ français , salle de sport . Un superbe endroit où partir je vous le conseille.

Fantastic!

We recently stayed at 1854 Chassors for a few days with our three small boys. Barbara and Kevin could not have been more welcoming to our family. Nothing was too much and they really ensured we had a relaxing and wonderful break. The gîte is beautifully done, modern and luxurious. We will definitely be back!

A little piece of heaven!

My family and I had the best time staying at 1854 Chassors at Barbara and Kevin’s gite. The gîte is situated on the grounds of an old Cognac distillery and has amazing period and modern features. The gîte is fully equipped with everything you need to cook at home and the kitchen is loadsd with great tools, utensils, and nothing really has been overlooked. We also loved the welcome basket of wine and local foods, was a very nice touch! The grounds have everything from platonc, jacuzzi, exercise room, barbecue area, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the surrounding gardens. The gîte is also quite secure and on a single floor so think that families with little ones would quite like staying here too as it’s quite safe. We’d highly recommend the gîte and loved getting to know Barb and Kevin, they truly are wonderful hosts and have a very special, beautiful home!
