Glass Mansion, Never Again
A/C in activity/bunk room on 1st floor was basically nonfunctional upon arrival (Sunday). Were informed by housekeeping when we arrived this was a known issue. We called to report and had to wait until Thursday for HVAC repairman. Temp was mid-upper 70's in that room for days. In kitchen on 2nd floor the garbage disposal and adjacent dishwasher were not working upon arrival. These issues were resolved, only to have the garbage disposal stop working 2 days later (was finally fixed even though repairman wondered if we could do without it). The freezer in the main kitchen desperately needs an adjustment; it doesn't make ice and needs to be defrosted. Alarm on that freezer routinely went off, quite annoying. On the Thermador stove, at least one of the knobs didn't seem to have an off (which was very dangerous). And then a knob broke off a couple of days into the stay and we were told not to use the griddle portion any longer. The repairman said he had the part but hadn't done the repair. So, again, this was an issue long known but not fixed. We were trying to cook for 13 people, having a fully functioning stove was important. Several blinds would not close; the repairman couldn't fix. On the 3rd floor (med size bedroom), the Toto toilet did not work properly, no automatic functionality. It was a crapshoot whether you can get the elevator to work. So, it wasn't worth trying to use, afraid of getting stuck. Temp in master BR often very warm, A/C couldn't keep up.
