This home has been recently renovated inside and out. New air conditioning installed upstairs and down for 2022 season. Although in a quiet cove, the private dock has deep water, great views and lots of space to hang. There are 2 paddleboards, wonder noodles and water lounges as well as some water toys and beach towels available to use during your stay. There are lots a places here to relax and enjoy the lake - my favorite is the hanging chair on the top deck! There are rocking chairs on the top deck, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. A love seat and chairs on the lower porch for sipping a beverage with friends. A table and chairs with umbrella on the pier for eating lunch while fishing and swimming. A set of lounge chairs on the dock for reading that neglected stack of magazines. A large patio with dining table and picnic table, perfect for sharing a meal with family while enjoying the sunset. Then flip on the string lights and enjoy those perfect summer nights by the water. The kitchen is fully appointed with dishes, utensils, cookware and small appliances including a blender, coffee maker, toaster and crock pot. There are also some cooking basics such as common spices, flour, sugar, oil and coffee. A 36" Blackstone griddle is located on the upstairs deck, close to the kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms in the home. The first and second bedrooms have queen sized beds and the third is a bunk room with a full sized bed on bottom and twin up. Crib and highchair provided upon request. There is wireless internet available as well as 3 flat screen TV's with Roku, Netflix and Disney+ service. There are also books, board games and cards. A half bath up is located upstairs, and a full bath with deep soaker tub is located on the same level as the bedrooms. We recently added an outdoor lake shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off. The lower level also has the washer and dryer.

We truly want all our guests to enjoy our Green Heron Cottage as much as we do and try to provide everything needed to simply come and relax.

For the protection of the home and the safety those who help maintain it, there are security cameras on the exterior of the cottage viewing the front porch and garage area.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and a furnished patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find a Smart TV with Netflix. Other standard amenities include a washer/dryer, a coffee maker, and a travel crib.

This home and the owner/property manager are outstanding. When we arrived early we were welcomed most warmly and accommodated quickly by the owner and the energetic and thorough staff. All furnishings were in excellent condition and comfortable. Clever and creative decor enhanced every room and outdoors. A large supply of indoor and outdoor towels were provided and beds and linens were great. The site is located on a "finger" of the lake, but views were unobstructed from all levels. The opposite shore was farther away than many other properties we have seen. The neighborhood is generally peaceful and there was only one moron who roared past a couple of times a day leaving docks and moored boats dancing in his large wakes. Apart from that brief irritant, all was peaceful day and night.The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed; nicely equipped stocked and equipped with great fixtures. Nothing important was lacking. Finally, the area offers all the shopping, supplies and food one might need and the roads are well maintained, allowing short drive times to other parts of Norman and surrounding towns.What else can be said? We departed rested, cared about and lacking nothing of consequence. Will return, for certain.

The house is on a very quiet part of the lake, so paddle boarding is easy because there is not a lot of wake. There is groceries and shopping close by. We enjoyed our week-long stay very much.

Enjoyable Property

The inside of the property was well designed, clean with good instructions. The kitchen was very well equiped with little extra's. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The furniture on the deck and dock needed cleaning before we could use them. There was mold and spiderwebs on the chairs and cushions. I'm not sure that the a/c unit in the upstairs was working properly. It got fairly warm inside even though the temperature was set at 76 the thermostat read 84. All said, we enjoyed our stay and had a very nice time.

We absolutely loved this house. Felt right at home. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching the birds and squirrels. We had a bald eagle fly by one morning and watched several hawks grab fish from the lake. We will definitely come back here!!!

Would definitely staybagain! Such a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. Beautifully furnished home and well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and furniture. Charming lighting throughout. Terrific stay

It was the perfect getaway for me and my best friend. The house and property were better than what I could of imagined. We brought some kitchen items with us so that we could eat in, but we didn’t need them. The kitchen had everything we needed. Property was as beautiful as pictured and was stocked better than expected. Only suggestions are the need for railing on the steps down to the dock. That is a safety concern that needs to be addressed. Also, a night light at the top angled step and last step before bottom landing as they could easily cause a fall. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend to others. Thank you.

Lake house with everything you need

This recently renovated lake home has everything you need. Sheets, bath towels and lake towels are plentiful. Kitchen utensils, pots, pans snd appliances are readily available. The kitchen is stocked better than my own- even a crock pot! The place was clean, the beds were very comfortable (I wish I looked to see what kind of mattress it was!) and there were even plants and flowers in large planters for some nice landscaping. This home is on a quiet cove of Lake Norman. The location is a bit more remote than I expected but stores and pharmacy are less than 10 minutes away. The only thing to be aware of if you experience any kind of mobility disability is that there are quite a few steps to get to the dock, as with many lake homes. Really nice house with all the extras.
