The beach townhouse was very dirty, outdated and had a nasty sewer smell coming from the 1st level master bathroom drains. We asked the property manager to move us and they gave us 2 options that were very nice inside and updated, but they BOTH had cockroaches crawling on every level of the villas. We decided to deal with the sewer smell instead of deal with the cockroaches. The island itself is very nice and the pool is great but we recommend doing a walk through of your room before you commit to staying there.

Nice place good golf & very good food l enjoyed myself the staff were very helpful!

Nice room kinda old but very comfortable and close to all.

The grounds are well maintained and the staff was helpful. Despite being close to the beach, it takes a while to walk to the beach because there are other condos blocking the way, so we're forced to walk around the condos. The "scenic view" consisted of a tennis court, I'm told unless you get "ocean view", we're not going to get better view.

Kiawah is a stunning place! The golf courses, the beaches, the marsh, the overall feel of the island is spectacular! A place to sit back and enjoy nature's beauty. We decided to stay in a villa rather than the only hotel on the island since it was a holiday weekend. We wanted quite. Villa was advertised with a scenic view. It had no view, but it was quite. Unit/building is in the woods. Amost all rentals at Kiawah are wooded, but some do have views of golf courses, marsh or ocean. This unit had none of that. However unit was within a short walk to pool and beach. Pools are fantastic for familys, especially with small children. Unit was on the ground floor, and had a horrible musty smell. Linens felt like sand paper. Bed not at all comfy, and furnishings were minimal and uncomfortable. Would not stay in this particular unit again. Only one grocery store on island, and a hand full of restaurants. Other options are a short drive away. You'll have better dining in Charleston, as well as shopping. If you can, take your bike. If not, bikes can be rented. Lots of trails to be explored. Check in process for all rental units was quick and easy. Staff was very friendly. However you'll need to take your time learning your way around, the maps you're given at check in help....but be prepared to take a few wrong turns.

Villa kitchen well-stocked. Bed very comfortable. Appliances relatively new.

There was a lot of room in this condo for two people, the hotel grounds were very nice. We only went to the gym and it was very nice, more equipment than most. The bed did not have fitted shirts and would not stay on which was annoying. There was a bad smell in the room, we found it the second day. The dirty mop and bucket and other cleaning supplies were in the small closet when you walked in and the smell went through the whole condo.

Excellent accommodation that was clean comfortable and convenient to beach and resort amenities. Will defiantly be back.

My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom villa for two nights. We were at Kiawah Island for the annual marathon. We stayed two nights and really loved the villa. It was spacious for the two of us and felt tranquil. We hope to be able to return for a longer stay next year.

Great experience, I will definitely return there. Short walk to the beach, perfect weather and fields for golf. delicious meals at local restaurants.

Best all around resort I've ever been to. All of the restaurants/employee could not have been better. I will definitely be back

Love Bugs took over the island when we arrived which is unfortunate as it made lying on the beach nearly impossible. While that is out of the resorts control, service is not. Just because we stayed at a Villa and not the Sanctuary Hotel does not mean our $ does not spend the same. Might want to actually come by beach umbrellas that are not associated with non hotel people or not make a big deal.

Clean, beautiful condo steps from the beach. Wonderful stay.

Make sure you rent a car. There are no cans, no Uber....... And you need a car to get around.
