So let me start by saying we communicated with this hotel a handful of times and it’s a little bit frustrating that there wasn’t anyone there to assist us upon check-in with our luggage. The hotel is in old town and so we had walk our large bags through the narrow streets and down and upstairs. Upon arriving to the hotel, they do not have an elevator and a small young lady working at the front desk so once again, being on the third floor, you have to walk your luggage up three flights of stairs to your room. Upon checking out, we asked if someone could help us in. They informed us that they only have one person that does that and they have six properties they manage so they did not know if he’d be able to help us bring our luggage down. obviously there’s nothing they can do about the rules in old town and not being able to have a car and that portion of it, but then to also not have an elevator and not have someone there to help people when they’re checking in to get their luggage in their rooms and upstairs is odd to me. They even have a winding staircase that makes it very difficult and to meet dangerous to be caring luggage up. We also did not realize how challenging it would be to find parking the hotel made it seem like it would be very easy. It was not. And once again, having to get your luggage from your vehicle to the hotel was also very challenging. I will say thatAC works extremely well though, and that was the absolute best part.

Awesome stay

Location is very convenient and accessible to restaurants and shops. Front desk is very helpful in booking our excursions and transportation. Booking the room with the balcony was a great, love the view and nice place to chill. Everything was clean and neat. The breakfast buffet was also terrific!

Couldn’t get a better location, right in the heart of Old Town Chania. You cannot drive up to the hotel, so parking is the only issue, but we found some free about 5-10 min walk away. Such beautiful unique rooms and wonderful staff.

Fantastic views from the balcony

I had a really nice stay. The room itself had the most amazing view and lovely balcony and was a good size. The only downside was the thin walls - but I just slept with earplugs in. Bed was a bit softer than what I like, but that’s just personal preference. Location was perfect for exploring the old town and so many great places to eat nearby. Breakfast was a really good selection and all the staff were really friendly. I would stay again for the view alone as I am sure all the old buildings struggle noise wise.

We had a fabulous few days in Chania and the Elia Zampeliou was the ideal base to explore the beautiful old town. The room was comfortable and well appointed. There could be some noise coming from the port but we slept really well

Venetian Harbor Delight

Our stay at Elia Zampeliou Hotel in Chania's Venetian Harbor was a delight! Our room was clean, well-appointed and comfortable, with a picture-perfect view of the Harbor. The staff were friendly and professional and the price was extremely reasonable considering it also included a delicious and abundant breakfast of Greek pastries, breads and yogurts. We enjoyed exploring the narrow and colorful alleyways in this ancient part of town. The only down side was that we weren't able to stay longer. We would definitely return to Elia Zampeliou Hotel and recommend it highly.
