Eclectic 3-bedroom house in front of the sea

'FORGET-ME-NOT' is set on the main coastal road of the Kato Galatas-Kalamaki area, directly across from the sea, just 5 km from the center of the town of Chania and less than 1 km from the National Road, a perfect starting point for excursions!
Our apartment is part of the 'BLOOM OF BLUE' building, which consists of three separate and unique apartments in front of the sea.
'FORGET-ME-NOT' accommodates six people, featuring three bedrooms all with a sea view, each of which have a double bed. The dining room, and especially the living room, offers a unique view of the endless blue of the sea. The kitchen is fully equipped, together with a dishwasher, microwave oven, water boiler, grill, toaster, coffee maker, as well as a Tassimo coffee machine by Krups.
Don’t forget to enjoy your coffee in the clay cups that have been made according to the tradition of the Minoans! Relax, taking your bath in the marble bathroom, and enjoy your breakfast or your meal on the spacious and comfortable balcony with its amazing view.
To ensure your comfort during your stay, all the rooms have air conditioning, and the apartment is equipped with a washer and an iron for your clothes, satellite TV, a DVD player and a mini HiFi. We also provide our guests with fresh, aromatic sheets, towels, and beach towels.

I do not live on the premises but I am available immediately to attend to any questions or issues that may arise.
You will find grocery store, bakery, mini-market and butcher in the road near the house. Greek traditional restaurants are also located a few minutes away from my apartment. You can walk along the seaside to a wonderful park and enjoy the sunset.
There is bus service every 20 minutes and the bus stop is just a few meters away from the house.
Fresh linen and towels as well as a welcome basket is waiting for you upon arrival.

Beautiful Apartment

My wife and I stayed for a week in this beautiful, well-appointed apartment in a great location for touring Crete. It feels like a palace with marble floors throughout and doors to the outside in every room. The view of the sea across the road from the apartment is spectacular. There is a beach and many restaurants and services within easy walking distance. Maria is an outstanding host, going above and beyond to provide for your every need.

Fantastic location and comfort

Lovely, comfortable property immediately across the street from sandy beaches to left and right. Parking opposite the property and bus stops a few metres up the street with regular easy access into Chania. The property has everything you need for an easy stay, from beach towels to books and a very thoroughly equipped kitchen. The washing machine means you can travel light and the outside drying racks off the rear balcony mean washing dries fast. Points to note - access is via an external staircase so near in mind for any mobility issues and the second bathroom and shower are very neat in size. Communication with Maria was easy and she was very responsive. We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily return as long as my mother can manage the steps

Sensational Paradise

My wife and I along with our friends took the trip of a lifetime to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversaries. We LOVED our time in Chania and Maria's place was exceptional in terms of size, cleanliness, location and more. There are a number of great restaurants within a short walk from this location (Nesaki & Fork&Knife being two of our favourites), and you can't beat the view...waking up to the sights and sound of the ocean which is just a mere few steps away. We would absolutely return and hopefully one day will have the chance to do so!

Great Place! Great Host!

This place was perfect! Plenty of room for a family of 6. Clean and well-kept with all modern amenities. Location is steps from the beach, cafes, & restaurants with plenty of options nearby! Our hosts were amazing! Maria & Stelios (and Angelika) made us feel like we were family and accommodated our every need. They had local treats and a delicious homemade meal waiting for us upon arrival. I would definitely recommend and would stay again!! Outstanding holiday experience

This is a beautiful apartment close to wonderful beaches and restaurants. The property is spacious and equipped to a very high standard. Maria is probably the most accommodating host you will encounter, her hospitality is outstanding and she made our stay easy and extremely pleasant, organizing our transfers and providing any information we needed on request. The apartment is very thoughtfully laid out and tastefully decorated, clean and airy. with a large balcony. I can't recommend it enough for a great holiday experience with easy access to Chania served with frequent buses close to the apartment.

A Seaside Escape and unmatched hospitality

Maria was the best host I have ever had and her home is absolutely beautiful, marble, spacious, light. The sea is right outside your window and theres a beautiful beach just steps across the road. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing stay!

We stayed at Forget-Me-Not at Chania end September 2023 and had an amazing time. Maria was so great to deal with, she was very prompt in responding and answered all of my questions on car hire, jewellers, buying honey, bus timetables etc. The apartment was exactly as advertised and shown in the photos, it was very clean and modern, the kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed, the bedrooms were spacious. Maria had even provided us with a hearty lunch upon our arrival, as well as a beautiful welcome basket with local produce. The location of the apartment was great, right across the road from a swimmable beach. There were also lots of restaurants and grocery stores close by. And the bus stop to the Old Town was less than a 5min walk and the bus takes 20-30min. We had a great time, and would definitely stay again if we were to re-visit Chania.

Lovely Appartment on the sea!

From start to finish this experience was amazing…… The apartment is in a very central location and is very well appointed and exceptionally clean. The host ( and partner) we extremely helpful throughout our visit providing recommendations of local places as well as afar. Their friendliness will not be forgotten. Best host and property ever

Our experience at Maria's apartment was 5 star nothing was to much trouble. The apartment was beautifully laid out and just a cross the road from the beach and amenities. The welcome gifts were lovely and Maria's mums cooking was delicious. We didn't hire a car but caught a bus into town and walked around the beautiful town and lighthouse, experiencing all the Greek food and culture. The recommendations helped enormously too. I would definitely definitely recommend this apartment and especially the host Maria who was so very kind and helpful. Also a big thank you to Fotis the taxi driver and Manousos for the welcome. If and when we visit again we will definitely stay here again thanks again x

Perfect Place to Explore Crete From.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Maria is the best host. We were greeted upon arrival by one of her friends that gave us all their pertinent information for the apartment. We also had a lovely dinner waiting provided by Maria’s mother and a lovely welcome basket. Everything at the apartment is top of the line and everything is provided. Amazing Vacation!

Not only was our vacation amazing, the stay in Maria’s apartment was absolutely wonderful. We were greeted upon arriving with a home cooked pastitsio by her mother’s hand...delicious! The apartment was clean and extremely comfortable and just a few minutes walk to the beach. Waking up every day to that beautiful view was uplifting. After 3 weeks of sun and fun we will certainly miss it, but look forward to returning to Crete and Maria’s warm and accommodating hospitality. Would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you again Maria! Maria’s apartment is like a home from home. Clean, all the amenities you could need. So close to the beach, great local transport too, to explore a bit further. A sure thing!

Staying in Maria's "Forget me not" apartment was a pure joy from start to finish. Maria was extremely prompt and clear in all her correspondence and was able to be flexible with many things. She sends you a wonderful guide to area with all her personal picks ahead of arrival..was very helpful. This apartment is right on the coastal road slightly west of Chania. It's a residential area with a few restaurants and supermarkets and is relatively quiet. From almost every room of apartment you can observe the sea. Very light and attractively furnished with high quality furniture, linens and kitchen appliances and dishes/cutlery. Maria stocks all the necessary things one needs while on vacation but would prefer not to purchase (eg. paper towel, toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugar, spices, olive oil, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent., hand soap, cling wrap,trash bags etc). Upon arrival, we received a huge welcome arrangement of local honey, raki, mountain tea, wine, fresh fruit, local biscuits and sweets, and bottled water. Total bonus was the home made meal prepared by her mother that was there for us to enjoy after traveling all day. So delicious and so thoughtful!! All towels are provided (bath and beach) and are high quality. There is a ridiculous amount of closet space! I wish I had at home! There's an integrated laundry line off the back terrace that is very convenient. This house was spotlessly clean and somehow smells beautiful too, not like most typical coastal properties which can have that humid mildewy aspect all too often. It's spacious, comfortable,and ready to be enjoyed...it's really one of the best places we have ever stayed ...our family of four only rent vacation homes/apartments as opposed to hotels , so have stayed in many over the years. We have discerning tastes and fairly high expectations (I couldn't fault one thing in this apartment, which is rare for me). This place was top notch. Highly recommended. Thanks again Maria for creating a truly comfortable home to be enjoyed while you visit Crete.
