This apartment is very bright and modern, and it can accommodate up to 6 guests. There are 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with a bunk bed) and a living room with a sofa bed. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking a family dinner. There is one bathroom.

ACCESSIBILITY
The apartment is on the second floor (4 flights of stairs). There is no elevator. You will have to carry your luggage and/or baby strollers. Cernobbio is situated on the hill, but this property is located in the flat part of the town, so everything is easily reachable on foot.

NEIGHBORHOOD
Promenade is located in Cernobbio, a characteristic lakeside town 7 km from Como city and near the Swiss border. Cernobbio is home to some of the most famous Lake Como villas such as Villa d’Este and Villa Erba which is just a 2-minute walk away from the apartment. Villa Bernasconi is just across the street from the property.
There are bars and restaurants in the area and a supermarket nearby. A short walk will take you to the beautiful lakefront. Everything is a short walk away from the apartment.
GETTING AROUND
The convenient private parking makes Promenade a desirable accommodation for those who are traveling by car.
Traveling to and from Cernobbio is also quite easy with public transport. There is an ASF Autolinee bus stop near the property, and numerous bus lines can take you to Como city and other lakeside towns. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places in Cernobbio. The nearest ticket selling point is bar Sport (via Regina 21). Please note that the buses don't run very often and services stop at around 10 pm! Taxi rides are available, but not easily attainable in the region.
Another option is to take the ferry from the pier on the lakefront and travel to Como and other nearby locations. Timetables and tickets are available on the Navigazione Laghi website.
From Como, it is easy to travel to Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno) by train. There are also public ferries traveling to other lakeside towns from the pier in Como center.
The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost.

TIPS
>If you feel like walking, Como city center is actually a walking distance away. The walk takes less than an hour. Take the big road till Villa Olmo, and then there is a lakeside pedestrian path.
>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must.
>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the little towns, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle!
>From Cernobbio, there are many nearby hiking options in the woods (even to Monte Bisbino!).
>If you are looking for an easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that doesn't require too much walking uphill. The Greenway goes through the little towns from Colonno to Griante. From Cernobbio, you can get to the starting point in Colonno by bus.
>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly.
>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In Cernobbio, the lakeside Lido has a swimming pool. In nearby Moltrasio, there is a little beach. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is mostly prohibited. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.
>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. Be particularly attentive to the weather when hiking, and bring some warm and waterproof clothes with you!
