We stayed for three nights and the staff were kind enough to let us have a room with balcony for two nights. And that was what made it - Superior views over the Lago as you would have from the restaurant on the ground floor. Good car parking available nearby. Food was so so, breakfast actually quite poor with very limited restocking throughout the course of the breakfast. Had an evening meal as well and it was okay. Both rooms were nice, but very petit. So short term stay only I would say. Staff couldn't be faulted.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The first night we arrived very late and the hotel staff waited up for us to arrive and even had a nice plate of fruits and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. They were super accommodating and very friendly. The hotel is a bit older but the rooms are updated and look nice. They took excellent care of my wife and I. We will definitely come back again Thank you
A very nice hotel, with great views of Lake Como, small(ish) rooms, strong wifi. That said, the narrow streets with tight, confusing turns and parking (about 100 meters down the road) make choosing this hotel a tossup. If you have breakfast (included), don't use the machine for coffee, ask the waiter/night watchman to make you a cappucino for better coffee.
This hotel up the hill overlooking Cernobbio is quite small and has a nice family run feeling to it. The room we had with a balcony was quite small but the views certainly make up for that. The bathroom was modern and a decent size. The hotel is situated amongst the houses and is not in a busy place. There are a couple of restaurants within a 5 - 6 minute walk but there isn’t much else there, you need to go into Cernobbio. If you don’t have a car there is a bus, taxi or walk. We didn’t use the bus so can’t comment on it but did use taxis but mainly from Como town rather than Cernobbio (approx 20 Euro). The walk down to Cernobbio is via a steep set of steps made from pebbles and stones. If you are infirm terribly unfit have small children it is not suitable. It’s a 15 minute walk to Cernobbio and 20 going back! It is a hard walk back but doable. Staff at the hotel were great and we had a good breakfast each morning. It’s not the biggest selection but there was enough. The pool area is very small and the water is cold but refreshing! It never was busy as most people went out for the day. I would recommend for couples but probably not the best for those with young children. We will definitely use again if we revisit and we probably will!
The Asnigo Hotel in Cernobbio has the most wonderful views of Lake Como. The rooms are small but sufficient. The restaurant serves a very good breakfast and the breakfast staff are pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately this cannot be said of the reception staff and the restaurant staff in the evening.
Having visited lots of places around the Lake, all very pretty I’ve got to say the view from the Hotel Asnigo was the best, perched on a hill looking down on the Lake it’s stunning - you can’t get bored of sitting looking out at the view for hours and hours. With such a good view comes a 15 minute walk into Cernobbio down some steps, which neither me or my husband minded but it wouldn’t be suitable for people with mobility problems. Instead, you can take a taxi for the short journey. The hotel itself is very well kept and spotlessly clean. The staff are welcoming, friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was really good, a selection of fresh fruit, pastries, cereal and hot food too (bacon, eggs, toast etc) with the bonus of being able to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. The pool area was also really well maintained and very clean, good size pool and considering we were there in August it never got overcrowded.
We had a bit of a small room and unfortunately one without balcony, in hindsight I would have chosen one with. Generally a quite nice hotel, the staff was very helpful, great advice for nearby beaches and trails.
We have stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and sincerely the place has one of the best views ever overlooking lake Como and the surroundings . The room was quite small, but ok , that’s what you would expect from 4 star and had a lovely small balcony . What we did not like was the bed , it’s very hard , it would be great if the hotel could invest into beds or at least proper mattresses . Staff was friendly , breakfast was simple but had everything what is needed . One thing thought - if you are older or have difficulty walking , it is quite a hike from the village to go up the hill , for us it was absolutely fine but for some people it might be an issue .
I have noticed hotel standardization in Italy is lower than in rest of he Europe. Hotel seem very clean as well as the bathroom. However room looks rather cheap. Was very small. Bed is not comfortable, walls are made of a "cardboard". Breakfast is very average. Not made of fresh, local products. For short stay is alright. It was rainy hence we could not use the swimming pool. Glass lift gives lovely lake view. Take taxi from Cernobbio, otherwise it is tough walk up the hill for 20 minutes.
What an absolutely beautiful hotel. It's position sat up high in the small town of Cernobbio over looking Lake Como. Stunning views. We had a Lake view room with balcony and it was well worth the little extra. Rooms are modern and a decent size. The breakfast was fantastic and the room had great views across the lake. All staff were helpful but the front desk member of staff was ultra helpful and friendly. We cannot recommend the hotel enough. We will be back for sure.
