Central Vacation Packages

The property was much larger than expected and included a lake. Our cabin was tucked in the woods off of a one lane paved road, with good parking spaces. We had a few mosquitoes in our cabin, and also a spider that stayed in its upper corner of the bathroom. The beds and pillows in our two bedroom cabin were very comfortable. Most of the channels on the TV were a little out of focus and we were unable to mirror our phones on the TV, even through we had property internet connected. The breakfast in the main lodge was good and reasonably priced. Prices in the General Store were very reasonable compared to typical resorts. Looking forward to another stay at a future date.

The hotel is old but beautiful. The floors creak when you walk which adds to the charm. Our only complaint is that there was never any staff available. Checking in took forever because no one was attending the front desk. Every time we went to the front desk, no one was there. Also, every time we called someone, we had to leave a message for a return call. I know they are probably under staffed but it’s not cheap to stay here and it’s frustrating trying to find help.

The breakfast was fine. The dining room has a lovely ambiance. The breakfast was scheduled to end at 9:30am. The staff began to put the food away at 9:25. At 9:40 one of the staff members made an announcement requesting the guests to dispose of their trash and leave the dining room. We were ready to leave, however there were a few guests who were still finishing their meal. It seems that the customer service aspect has room for improvement.
