Woodstock Inn & Resort

Absolutely the BEST Hotel with the BEST Staff and the BEST Food. spent 4 days there and would definitely come back. The treatment we got from all the Staff was over the top. Rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable.

Located in the quintessential New England village of Woodstock, VT, the Inn is centrally located for walking, shopping, dining, golf, hiking, and seasonal skiing. Enjoy a half-mile Stroll to visit the Historic Fully operating Billings Farm and Museum of Vermont’s rural past. From the moment a visitor approaches, the Inn shows off its grand architecture that continues with the warm spacious lobby and gracious hospitality. The common areas and the dining area are light filled and spacious. Our rooms were spacious and quiet, but if you are looking for the huge bathrooms found in some “chain” hotels, these will seem small, but they are well appointed. Dogs are welcomed, there were many, and areas for walks are available Our wedding group used all the outside spaces from the back garden, pool, to the lawn, the downstairs dining, and the nearby event area at the golf course for the rehearsal dinner. Highly recommend this location for a getaway or special event.

My husband and I just returned from a 3-night stay at the beautiful Woodstock Inn. Right away I was impressed by the gracious exterior and beautiful lobby. The furnishings and light fixtures are gorgeous! Our Woodstock King room was also very tastefully decorated and quite clean. We slept well in the comfortable bed. The concierge, Garrett, was particularly helpful in guiding our activities and restaurants for the weekend. We utilized the swimming pool, golf course, and tennis facility during our stay, and we enjoyed exploring the town of Woodstock. The Inn is located right at the heart of town, and there are cruiser bikes available (though walking anywhere in town is easy). While we ate our meals at restaurants outside of the hotel, we enjoyed the cozy bar for a nightcap. Our only (small) complaint is that we felt there should be someone manning the valet stand at all times, as it could sometimes be a challenge to park the car on a busy evening. Otherwise, highly recommend The Woodstock Inn for your next Vermont vacation!

This was our fourth time visiting the Woodstock Inn. The resort was refurbished in 2016 and its beautifully done in a Ralph Lauren style. The Spa Floor Rooms are extremely cozy, very well appointed with wonderfully comfortable beds. Bathrooms are amazing, especially the shower heads which function three different way. Hotel is very clean and has a multitude of spaces to relax, read or play games. Spa is very nice and the treatments are good. The only negative would be the fact that there are Weddings every weekend, which means lots of noise late at night from returning wedding guests.

The Spa at Woodstock Inn and Resort is above and beyond any spa I have experienced. The professional and warm welcome; hot tub in the pouring rain (:)); immaculate and clean facilities and best of all the Lemon Treatment and massage by an amazing masseuse, Kim. Everything was absolutely perfect. I save my pennies to have a spa getaway once a year and this was worth every penny. My only recommendation would be to replace the plastic cups in the spa with paper ones, Otherwise it was a 10+. Highly recommended.

My husband and I love the Woodstock Inn for so many reasons, but mostly because we know that we will consistently receive the top notch service that we have come to expect. The Inn has found a way to make luxury feel homey and relaxed. The food, spa and accommodations were all perfect - again!

As a guest when four weddings occur during your stay you are nonexistent. All about the wedding people. No place to sit outside to relax- cocktail hours and wedding receptions are all that matters. So a paying guest is just out of luck And hotel is sorry you feel that way. Price per night is to much for not getting to enjoy the hotel. Very disappointing first (and last) visit.

We return to the Woodstock Inn time and time again and have never been disappointed. It manages to feel traditional without being stuffy or dated. The service is warm and understated. The rooms are generously sized and beautifully designed. My favorites are in the tavern wing especially the one bedroom suites. The hotel has a ton of amenities including electric car chargers, bicycles to borrow, a well equipped game room, a nice pool, complimentary tea and coffee and cookies and lovely grounds. The town of Woodstock feels like a throwback to a different time. Our entire stay at the Woodstock Inn is always completely relaxing and rejuvenating. It would also be a beautiful property for a special event.

We love this place. There are few things they need to fine tune in terms of dining staff getting there act together, but the new manager Anton I have no doubt will do just that. Otherwise, the pool area is so nice, great for families or couples, the food is so good, the grounds are just stunning and I hear that the spa is world class.

So we had the standard practice that we have found in every US hotel of trying to charge us twice for tax and resort fees. We paid via an agent in the UK and it seems that every hotel we have visited have tried this on us so please be aware. Never a good start to a hotel stay but we bought the evidence with us. Having said that, I don’t think I have relaxed as much as I did in Woodstock. This was definitely a hotel for three generations. Everyone we met had been coming back for years. We met many families who came as children and were now coming back with their children. My wife used the spa and it was a great place to find a corner and read a book. For the first time I felt that service was being given for reasons other than a tip but I must confess that I don’t like this dark economy in the USA and don’t understand why those in service do not get a fair wage. It is a professional job and I want professional service. Rant aside, this was a nice family hotel where we made friends and were looked after. Good WiFi, nice staff, good beer, willing to advise on trips. A home from home. Nice guests also which is also a good indicator.
