Absolutely great location! It is so close to the White Tower, the main market, the cafeterias, the mainstream bars and all the restaurants you would need. In the pros, it provides underground parking space with an extra charge. Very good breakfast. Very good service. Even though the rooms are not particularly spacious, they are always clean and comfy. The bathroom is great with all the necessary amenities. The mini bar is free of charge. All the hot spots are around in a walking distance.
Be aware when you stay there According to management there no surveillance cameras any where in the hotel including entrance and elevators. Personal items were stolen from our hotel safe and the management was very rude. They told us there are no responsible for anything and basically treated us like a nuisance and thieves.. The matter is now in the police hands and a lawsuit has been filed. All and all our vacation was ruined we spend our time between the police and lawyers.
The location is exceptional and right on the water. Their PR emphasizes luxury so just insure that you aren't facing the wall of the next building, which for us was unfortunate. The breakfasts are amazing and staff very informative and attentive.
My wife and I stayed for one week in mid-May this year. The hotel's website promised a lot and having visited, it delivered all we had expected. The hotel arranged for us to be collected from the airport, making the transfer relaxing and trouble free. On arrival, the check-in was quick and easy and we were allocated a room on the second floor with a balcony. There was only a few hangers in the wardrobe, but one phone call and five minutes later we had a lot more delivered. The service and attention to detail all through our week was excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean every time we returned and my wife liked to chocolates delivered every evening. Special mention needs to be made of the breakfasts. Huge selection of breads, cakes, pastries fruit, cereals and for those who wanted it (me especially) eggs, bacon mushrooms and sausages. Omelettes and poached eggs were also available to order. It all made for a perfect week's break in a well-situated, reasonably priced hotel with welcoming and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Hotel has perfect location, rooms are lovely and spacious, breakfast is all you wish and more! Staff is proffesional, kind and attentive, allways prepared to help. They offer good car park service, so you don't need to worry about anything. All historic sites are in walking distance and city seaside promenade is just in front of you! I highly reccomend this hotel!
After watching Rick Stein and reading 'The Thread' by Victoria Hislop, we were very much looking forward to our city break in Thessaloniki and neither the city nor the hotel disappointed us. We had a great time! The pick-up from the airport (arranged through the hotel) meant that our holiday got off to a smooth and calm start. The cost of the pick-up was possibly slightly more than if we had just got a taxi from the airport but between four it was well worth it for a hassle free transfer. Our greeting from the hotel staff was warm, friendly, efficient and informative. Our atrium view room was large with every facility you would expect from this class of hotel. The bed was comfortable, the hairdryer worked, the toiletries were of a good quality. We had a slight problem with the bathroom sink but this was addressed and resolved by the hotel staff. We had breakfast in the hotel everyday. The range and quality of food were excellent and again staff were friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is superb - literally on the sea front. We were able to walk to most of the major sights after using the hop on hop off bus to familiarise ourselves with the layout of the city (not the most wonderful commentary and beware the overhanging tree branches!). We had some wonderful food and were able to find some of the restaurants mentioned by Rick Stein. We loved our time at the Daios Hotel and would highly recommend it - and this great city.
Great hotel. Kind, professional and attentive staff; well decorated, spacious rooms with all the amenities one would expect on a luxury hotel plus well maintained (have been to other allegedly luxury hotels that literally fell apart). Quality breakfast with freshly prepared, tasteful food and good variety. One of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on. Great location. So why not 5 stars? Well, one star off is for the lack of a balcony whatsoever. Not only that, but the window itself is high lowest part at approximately 1.5m from the floor so no view at all (which is not a bad thing actually, given that you'd only see the laundry from neighboring buildings) but little light as well. In a business setting where you probably will spend rather little time in your room, it's OK. Anything more than that and, IMHO, it would become annoying. Other than that, one of the best hotels I've been to.
The perfect place to stay in Thessaloniki! Located at the center of town close to the White Tower! I stayed there for business purposes ! The rooms are excellent and also the service! Fully recommended!!!
The hotel is centrally located close to White Tower. The room was big and well furnished. Bedroom, another room with sofa and desk, bathtub, shower, 2 basins, 2 TV sets, and nice balcony. Welcome fruits and sparkling wine are offered. The breakfast included some local delicacies. The staff is very friendly yet discrete. Highly recommended.
