Generally fine. Love that the bathrooms have exhaust fans!!! Breakfast was messy, missing items and the sausage gravy was very watery. Over all just OK, but wouldn’t take much effort to be great if they cared.
I drove a truck with an attached car trailer. As such, parking could be a challenge at times. Not here. They were incredibly accommodating and parking was a breeze. The lady at the front desk (I didn't get her name), was wonderful. Their included breakfast was terrific as well. If I'm ever in the Cedar Rapids Iowa area again, I'd stay here again without hesitation.
I called an Orbitz agent and they told me the pool and spa were open til 11pm. We got there after the 4hr drive and football game, to find out the pool hasn’t been open for two years! My kids were very upset and we had no other options because it was a game weekend.
Clean and comfortable as usual. Nice breakfast and close to restaurants.
The room I stayed right next to the elevator was disturbing by the elevator noise, especially during nights bedtime
This hotel was exactly what we expected from a Hampton Inn.
It was a nice hotel, but I was very disappointed there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. The first floor ice machine was gone so I had to go to the 2nd floor to get ice.
Room 215 shares a wall with the elevator shaft and is very loud. Every time the elevator is in use you'll here a symphony of loud machinery. This Hampton appears to be old and musty compared to the Hamptons I typically stay in.
It was a very nice stay. Staff was very helpful and polite. Room was clean and I thought the little notes were a nice touch.
Close to many restaurants and mall, good location! Movie theatre within walking distance.
The location was good. The hotel was clean. Staff was friendly.
We stayed here last year for an Iowa game and decided to do it again. The bed's are comfortable and the coffee is great. Did not participate in the buffet but it looked busy. The price is too high for they type of hotel but that is how they all are for a home football weekend.
Nice Room friendly staff, comfortable beds. All I have come to expect from a Hampton INN
Our family was on our way to TN for a military event half way there we were told that the event was canceled. With all the driving that the Hubby I did we were tired, the two kiddies (ages 9 and 2) were restless and we were all bummed about the event. Hubby and I quickly decided that we were going to grab a hotel and call it a day. I downloaded travel app on to my phone and with the ratings and pricing we were able to quickly decide where we were staying. I have to say that the entire process was EASY and stupid proof. No hoops to jump through, you didn't get lost in the different menu/pages. It was simple 1-2-3. From check-in to check-out we felt welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. We even got a courtusy call from the front desk making sure that all was well and to our liking. We never got the 'look' of 'oh they have children, they're going to be a hot mess to take of...' The staff was friendly, there when you need them, had an exceptional buffet style breakfast and I would most defiantly return to this hotel and highly recommend to others.
Family stay for college visits. This hotel was functional and nice. Rooms were clean with current decor; comfy beds. Fitness center was clean and modern, if a little small; offers various machines, towels, disposable earbuds and water. Free breakfast was pretty standard but with hot food options and make-your-own-waffles. The location was convenient to a variety of restaurants, gas stations, and grocery/drugstores. I'd recommend if you're looking for a basic, clean, quiet, servicable place to stay - with kids or for business.
This hotel was about a 10 minute drive from the airport. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The carpet seemed "dewy" to me. Not sure if it was the high humidity or what, but was a turn-off. Otherwise, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable and clean.
Convenient access to city. Older property that was updated a few years ago. Rooms are a little tight but ok. Typical Hampton breakfast. Very friendly staff.
The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the beds were soft. The pool area wasn't as big as we had hoped but the pool was nice, just small. It was very close to the places we wanted to go to. We will stay again next time we go to Cedar Rapids.
We stopped on our way to Sioux Center. It was a great choice for a great price. The staff was most courteous and helpful as well as informed as to what was available in town etc. Pool and spa in great condition, great oatmeal for breakfast.as well as waffles, fresh pears and good coffee. The bed was comfortable and refreshingly clean bedding was available. We thoroughly enjoyed our respite.
