Welcome to Whispering Waves, a home like no other, in a place like no other. This newly constructed two-story stilt home offers expansive views of the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding islands. Large windows capture beautiful sunrises and sunsets, while the 4 decks let you look out and enjoy the peaceful breeze. Decorated with precision, this home combines comfort and style for an idyllic island retreat. Come and make the memories that last a lifetime.
Interior
Whispering Waves offers a spacious, open layout with high ceilings and large windows throughout. On Level 2 the fully equipped kitchen, with seating for six at the counter, is perfect for gathering, while the dining area seats eight and offers sunset views. The living room includes a large sectional, a fireplace for cooler days, and a TV for movie nights. A queen bedroom suite on Level 2 is fully wheelchair accessible, featuring wide doorways, open walkways, and a roll-in shower. NOTE that the home does NOT have a lift or elevator for guest use.
On Level 1, the main suite features a king bed, sitting area, walk-in closet, and private en-suite. This bedroom opens to a large private deck with Gulf views—a perfect spot to relax in the breeze. Two additional bedrooms—each with a lower queen bed and 2 high twin XL beds with ladders—share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. A washer and dryer on this floor add convenience.

Whispering Waves’ bright aqua exterior sets the tone for a relaxing island stay. The main deck offers a BBQ, seating area, and dining table, ideal for enjoying meals with a Gulf view. The three additional decks off the bedrooms allow for sun, shade and time to just sit back and relax in the breeze.

Located in a quiet neighborhood less than a mile from downtown Cedar Key, Whispering Waves provides easy access to the island’s historic charm and relaxed pace. Cedar Key is perfect for exploring by foot, bike, or golf cart. The island offers art galleries, unique shops, and waterfront dining with fresh seafood. Guests can also enjoy bird-watching, fishing, and kayaking through scenic mangroves and coastal waters, while discovering Cedar Key’s rich history as a 19th-century port town.

My friends and I have all stayed in many VRBO properties and we all agree this was one of the very best.Super clean and in excellent condition. We were impressed by the quality of furniture, beds, kitchen wares and even decorations.Next trip to Cedar Key we will book this again for sure.

Perfect for larger groups
We loved our stay at Whispering Waves! One of the best stocked rentals for amenities we've encountered yet! The view of the water was wonderful and for our 4th CK visit was it's usual relaxing vacation. First time visiting friends of ours also loved the house & the area. The place was very clean, comfortable as well as lovely. Just make sure you are traveling with someone who can lug heavy coolers / luggage up lots of stairs.

The Perfect House
The property is beautiful and seemed as if we were the first to even stay in it. The view of the bay is phenomenal and it is close to everything downtown. We did not have kids with our party but the bunk rooms are set up perfectly for multiple familes with kids. We will be staying here again when return to the area.
