The staff patiently listened to il mio italiano, were consistently kind, courteous, helpful, gracious. The location was most useful: easy walk to old city, fish market, bus and train terminals, duomo, shopping, fine eating places. Decor was restful and fabulous: art and jazz! Room arrangement unique: a downstairs with table, a spiral staircase, an expansive bed loft. Also a large breakfast area with patio. A WONDERFUL place to stay. 10 stars.
The hotel is convenient to the bus and train station, near the city center, with a cozy Italian feel.
The hotel is not far from the train station. You can walk but the taxi was easier. It is not close to city center as we thought. Everyone was very helpful with directions. We made sure we were in the hotel by nightfall because we didn’t feel safe walking in this area. There are only car repair shops and residential buildings by the hotel and at night there is no street lighting causing very darks roads.
Everything was good about the hotel. My only complaint is on the air conditioning. It was not powerful enough (on a hot summer night).
