Spent one night here on arrival in Sicily. BAD is brilliantly located right next to the fish market. We arrived on a late flight and had arranged a transfer from the airport which worked perfectly. Having dropped off our bags we were in the main square in a couple of minutes with the locals. The hotel is quirky but was fine for our purposes. Our room was in the eaves. The bathroom was a little tired and the shower hard to use without flooding the place. Not suitable at all for tall people. Breakfast was in a local cafe on the main square which we enjoyed.

Great location - fabulous room and Alessandro who looked after us is extremely accommodating and kind. Highly recommend. Excellently located to city centre and well appointed. True Italian experience.

This hotel is very quirky. Loved that about it. In good location for walking around. The fish market is interesting just down the road. Staff gave a good insight into where to go in local area. We really enjoyed our stay. Room was large and had everything you needed. No fridge in room or kettle but can use one in reception just outside room.

We loved this little place. There were 6 of us in total and we all had very different quirky rooms. My husband and I had the loft room which had quite low ceilings so not for tall people! To get to it you had to go up and down a few step and across a rooftop terrace so it was nice and private and had views of the surrounding rooftops and balconies, The 'hotel' itself is on the 3rd floor so a few steps to ascend but that didn't bother us. Th location is prefect, just next to the fish market which is a sight to be seen on Saturday morning. It's a pretty basic hotel but the staff are so friendly and the location great we wouldn't hesitate booking again. If you're new to Sicily bear in mind that a lot of small hotels and b&b's are located on one floor of a building so you have to bypass a few doors, staircases to get to your accommodation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at BAD in mid may.. We stayed in the mini apartment which has all of the comforts of home. Although, we never cooked a full meal, the kitchen was properly stocked with dishes, pans, wine glasses, etc. The upstairs terrace was a perfect spot for wine and cheese at sunset, or to just relax and enjoy the great view of Mt. Etna. Alesandro, Michele, and all of the other folks at BAD were extremely helpful. They arranged for our pick up from the airport, and most importantly arranged a private driver/guide for an all day trip to Caltagirone, Piazza Armerina, and the Villa Romana del Casale. The day trip was fabulous and very reasonable cost. we had fun every morning walking through the fish market, on the way to the café on Piazza del Duomo to use our breakfast voucher. BAD has a great central location near lots of great restaurants. Its only a 20 minute walk to the train station or main bus terminal. Just note there is not an elevator, and the mini apartment is 3 flights up from the street (plus one more to the terrace), so our legs got a good work out. All in all, a great stay, with a friendly helpful staff.

We stayed at this lovely B&B in March to celebrate my partners birthday. Alessandro was a very welcome and helpful host who was around often and easily contactable if there are any problems. He sorted out all our airport transfers which made getting to and from the airport very easy. The B&B is very quirky and our room was large clean and very authentic italian. We made good use of the shared terrace which was a lovely little suntrap. The B&B is right next to the fish market and within easy walking distance from the main square and Via Etnea. We loved the Fish lab and also the authentic Sicilian M. It is worth taking the open bus tour and we also visited Syracuse by train, which was lovely. The weather was mostly sunny with a couple of cloudy days. We came back with a tan which is not bad for March. We had a lovely week and Bad was a really good base to explore.

Alessandro & Giulia were very friendly and helpful, their english language very good. The venue of the B&B in the old town of Catania and near fishmarket La Pescheria was really very nice. Rooms were very nice, stylish and clean, so all in all me and my son Benjamin enjoyed staying in this B&B and will recommend it on our friends.

Very artistic design and friendly environment. Close to main square therefore surrounded by shops, restaurants, bars all within walking distance. Will definitely stay at BAD when visiting Catania. Great place

Nicely located at the fish market. You are within 3 min in the City center. Rooms are very stylish and extraordinary. If you can, go for the appartement room. Great place with own terrace and kitchen.

Awesome design, nice staff, very trendsetter and interesting, but comfortable rooms. The city is very close (5 minutes walk) and the traditional fishmarket is in the hostel's street (but the rooms are pretty quite). We loved it! 😊
