More shabby than pics, double bed was 2 single beds stuffed in a double frame that didn’t fit, mattress was so hard I had to sleep on towels and bed spread and then ask to change room the next day, drawer fell apart when trying to open, breakfast bread couldn’t eat too hard, other than that it was fine.

Nice staff but poor bathroom and misleading ad

Loose shower head. Had to hold it with one hand the entire time during showering. Urine smell from bathroom tiles. Other than the bathroom the room was great with air conditioning in excellent order. The kids enjoyed the pool and nice outdoor areas. No washing facilities or rooftop terrace as advertised in hotels.com. This was not good because we booked this exact location to wash our clothes since we had no clean ones left and it was advertised in Hotels.com that such facilities were there.

Poorly maintained, overpriced. no wifi, hot water

We stayed in the Trulli room. It is actually a small house some 2K away from the main site. That would be fine if the place was properly equipped. Sadly it feels abandoned halfway through a renovation. The house is set in a small olive grove with a smart drive and a barbecue areas. It consists of a large open area kitchen-living space, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is small but sufficient. The second bedroom is much smaller - for 2 young children. Uncomfortable bed. The furniture is old/second hand and is a mix. If you were to use the kitchen it has an odd assortment of plates etc. There are pipes sticking out from the walls for a heating system. No sidelights in the bedrooms and half the lights in the house dont work. The barbecue area is a repository for bits and pieces - it could be nice with a clean up. The A?C did not work - "tomorrow" - which meant leaving all the windows open and listening to barking dogs until the wee hours. The hot water lasted for a shave and neither the sink nor bidet had a plug, No wifi and TIM has virtually no coverage even for phone calls. Breakfast was fine. The main complex looks like it could be perfectly nice if with rooms and a pool and even a little sun and jacuzzi room. Overall this would be 2 star if it worked. As is it doesnt and it is expensive

I booked into a trullo on the site where the pool, wifi and breakfast facilities are but when we arrived was told there was no room and we had to stay 2km away in a separate trullo. If it hadn't been so late we would have looked elsewhere. The trullo itself was cute and had the start of a swimming pool but it was not what I had booked. No wifi, a drive to the pool and breakfast each morning. Not ideal. I have since read that this has happened to others so be aware and double check before you arrive.

What a lovely place to stay

We arrived late and the owner was right there with our key telling us to rest and do the paperwork in the morning. After a good night's aleep in a beautiful trullo, we enjoyed a generous and tasty breakfast. The owner even gave us a tour of the land and facilities. I would highly recommend staying here!

We booked - but couldn't stay here

We didn't get to stay as the owner transferred us somewhere else because he said the toilet was blocked and a plumber wasn't available as it was a holiday (although it was only a holiday in Castellana Grotta, not in Alberobello or Putignano). As we had booked specifically for the pool we were allowed to use it, but had to change in an unlit bathroom area underneath the pool, which wasn't ideal. The pool area was clean, but some of the other outside areas were a little worse for wear. I can't comment on the rooms as we never got to see ours (I have given them an OK as I can't submit this without a rating). Expedia handled our complaint about the cancellation really well though. So I'd continue to book with Expedia in the future.

Beautiful L'Isola Felice

Really enjoyed a relaxing stay at L'Isola Felice. We stayed in the Trullo which made it even more special. Its a great spot from which to explore the local area and its so quiet! Its 5 mins from the caves which were a highlight of the holiday for us. They even do tours in English.

Beautiful, unique hotel will stay in your memory.

Very clean, excellent breakfast and service. Beautiful grounds including pool, unique rooms. The only reason I gave 4 for room comfort, it was too small for 3 people. The bathroom was large. Very memorable experience. Highly recommend.

A good Trulli experience!

Difficult to find and some basic directions within the hotel description on hotels.com would have been a great help. An out of town location but that wasn't a problem since our charming hosts served dinner if required. We stayed in the Trulli and enjoyed the garden with shaded seating areas and swimming pool. All together a good choice for us.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful stay. Room and breakfast were great. We were there in the middle of winter so can't really say we used the grounds or pool much but everything looks nice, was clean, and we were very comfortable. I would stay at this bed and breakfast again.

Very good room. However wasn't informed beforehand that there is no wifi in the trullo room. Had to go to the "foyer" which was freezing and could not find a power point. No-one around to ask for help after 7.30pm. When we booked in at 4pm the next morning's breakfast of sweet tarts etc was already on the servery and uncovered. Asked where was the kitchenette and was told there wasn't one ??? So could not make hot drinks or heat our food that we had brought. Breakfast for six people was only four slices of cheese,four slices of salami and four slices of ham. However there was a big variety of sweet tarts. Wasn't offered more coffee.

An oasi of peace

In the middle of nowhere but still close to the most beautiful places, this B&B is an oasi of peace, surrounded by a great scenery of olive trees, with a great pool. The owner was very cordial and helpfull, breakfast was great, with great selection of local products, everything fresh.

Bartelomeo and Angela were the best hosts and this property is a dream home for anyone traveling in the South of Italy. Close to many small local cities with a lots to see. Great breakfast included.
