Super 8 Acworth/Atlanta Area2.0 out of 5.0

Not my first time here. Motel is well maintained and kept clean and working. What I'd expect, but in so many other places I've been disappointed. - Thanks Kinnari for taking good care of us from the reservation, through our stay, and until check-out. - Very short walk to Publix and CVS. Plenty of chain to eat. Travel into Acworth for really good places including The Old Mill and Daddy's. Decent Mexican between the CVS and Publix. Also take-out Chinese.
We evacuated from Florida during hurricane Irma! I made a reservation with this Super8 initially because they accepted our 3 pets. We would come back because of the friendly staff and clean rooms. The beds were very comfortable and for someone with a bad back that is a huge plus! The staff were awesome. Always willing to go out of their way to be helpful. The historical area of Acworth was such a gem to find! Lovely lake area to walk around with our dog. We really liked the area and hope to go back again!
My wife and I escaped hurricane Irma and after many hours on the road found refuge at the Acworth Super 8. The staff was extremely sympathetic and helpful with our needs (we brought our cat and I'm in a wheelchair) and this turned out to be the cleanest and best maintained Super 8 motel I've ever seen. A special thanks goes out to Kinnari, the hotel manager, who has gone out of her way to make our stay comfortable and stress free. She's been an absolute angel! This hotel is surrounded by stores and restaurants which makes multi-day stays very convenient.
Acworth is a hidden win, worth a half day visit in itself. Hotel is friendly, pool is well kept and pleasant, breakfast is plentiful and decent. Access to city is easy and SunPark (Braves Baseball is less than 30 mins). Safe area and easy to find/ access....like :)
We stayed here overnight. Booked four rooms and we will definitely be back - clean rooms, comfortable beds, fantastic staff!
The room was clean and comfortable. Floor clean. Staff friendly enough. Breakfast was mediocre even for continental breakfast. There were people across from our ground floor room sitting in their car and the driver wore only his underwear. The people in the car seemed to be watching us. Uncomfortable feeling. A little overpriced.
Room was clean; pool was clean. We were visiting for a motorcycle rally; all of us had first floor rooms - the driveway seemed a little steep to some of our drivers, but turned out to be no problem as long as we left and entered two at a time. Grateful to get a good room at a good price so close to our event.
We left work Thursday evening traveling to see son graduation from US. Army in Ft. Benning, GA. At 01:00 to exhausted to drive further saw several motels but chose what I thought would be a reasonable price according to web for a few hours sleep. $85.00 no tissues, coffee condiments had been used left on counter open, old coffee still in pot. $85 obsurd for Super 8. Never stay in another one.
If you are accustomed to staying in nice places in the $100-$150 range, you immediately notice the difference. Price was also high but the quality did not match. You quickly notice that the place is operated by an Indian family, not a big corporation. They try to be nice but also try to save money everywhere. For covers you get a blanket, where only the sheets are washed, towels are smaller than elsewhere, left-over shampoo and toilet tissue. The “Superstar Breakfast” is from 6 to 9, even on Sunday, hoping that you oversleep and don’t eat the bananas and all the sweets and carbs that they offer. Our refrigerator door did not close properly. It seems that when the appliances break down they probably run to Salvation Army auction and replace them for $20. I had a friend who did this in his furnished rentals. Made money big time. Furniture looked like it was from the same auction. Location is good. Walking distance to Publix, where we prepared our breakfast for the second day. A Mexican restaurant La Bamba, next to Publix supermarket, has tasty food. Entrance and exit from the street is very steep and dangerous. Be careful! Can be managed with caution. It probably would be a good hotel in the $50-$80 price range, but it cost us way over that, hence criticism.
My room did not appears cleaned. Bed clothes had bunt hold on them. Room was non- smoking, but the smell of smoke was so present. Air conditioner did not work properly, and when spoke to front desk. Their response was: "what do you want me to do". Customer service is horrible. For this quality, the rates need to be less.
