I spent several nights here during a recent business trip. For the price, the hotel was exactly what I needed: a place to crash and shower late at night after really long days. The hotel is in a good or bad location depending on what you are here for. Its about 45 minutes to an hour from the airport. But if you are coming to any events at Lake Point sports complex, it's only a few minutes away. It is right off the interstate. So getting in and out is easy. The hotel again is nice but fairly basic. They have a lobby area set up for breakfast in the am. I didnt get to try any of it, but it looked like the basic eggs/pancakes spread. There is free parking around the hotel. And I felt safe walking around into the hotel late at night. They lock the door at night. So you will need your key to get in. However, they out the luggage carts in front of it. When you come in carrying a lot of stuff after a long day, trying to juggle the luggage carts to get into the hotel is annoying. But this is a minor thing that can be easily fixed. The room was comfortable but somewhat all dated. It might be that it just needs a deep cleaning. The carpet in my room was pretty dirty. There were finger prints on the bathroom door. Stuff like that. The bed was clean and comfortable. There is decent work space as well. The other thing I noticed was that the lighting in the room is kind of dark. Again, easy fixes that would make the stay better. Overall, it was a good stay.
As it goes our trip had come to an end and the road warriors were heading home. We for sure wanted to get through Atlanta before we took our break from driving so we would not end up in the Monday morning rush hour traffic, and it worked out well. The navigation system directed us to this great location, and Cedric our check-in agent was such a pleasant person! Thank you Cedric for your great customer service! Although our stay was short the accommodations were very nice. From the lobby to the room it is a very clean and well kept Inn. Our room was nice and quiet and we rested very well! The breakfast was very nice and the coffee hit the spot!! If you are traveling through this area I recommend a stop here, it will be on our list for sure! Happy and Safe travels to all!
Here for business, stayed for 10 days and it was pretty nice. Stayed in a suite on the 3rd floor. Rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was pretty good with a large selection. I had 2 issues, one was the road in front of the hotel. Trucks park along the road making it nearly impossible to drive. Second was the internet. I never hit more than 1mbps on the wifi. Ethernet port in the wall was also not working, so I was unable to work on my computer that way as well. Although the rooms were in great condition and the breakfast was good, I will probably be trying a different hotel next time because of the slow internet. I absolutely recommend staying here if you are not worried about the internet speeds.
Stopover on our way home from Fla. Nice clean , looked newly updated. Bedding was comfortable, room was clean, and no smoke smells! The usual breakfast that you expect at Holiday Inn Express. Pleasant lobby employee and breakfast employee. Elevator made some scary noises :) Date of stay: February 2019 Date of stay: February 2019 Trip type: Traveled as a couple
We are checking out this morning and it has been the worst 3 nights I have ever stayed at a hotel. I understand you will hear some noise occasionally as they are not sound proof but this was beyond ridiculous. We stayed for my sons basketball tournament and he had 8 am games all 3 days. They put us on the first floor and the room above us sounded like people tearing the room apart all day and night long. I understand they can’t fully control what people do or how loud they are but I feel that they could have taken care of the issue by moving us which they refused. We complained numerous times, they went and spoke with the room numerous times and it did no good. We were told it was a room full of ball kids so I guess that was supposed to make it ok. I asked nicely several times to be moved from day one and they refused saying they didn’t have anything available after I seen numerous rooms being cleaned daily. We slept with ear plugs in and it was still miserable. We got very little sleep and was woke up numerous times each night. The room was clean and breakfast was good but if you need or want a good nights sleep I would suggest somewhere else. We are a rewards member but that made no difference at all! Very disappointed and will not return or recommend
This property looks to have been acquired not too long ago. Some nice renovations are happening as IHG begins it's branding process. I was given a nice suite. Despite being at the front of the hotel facing a busy street, noise was not an issue. Everything was clean and tidy. Bed was nice and comfortable. Room noise from adjacent neighbors was muted. No issues to speak of. I was pleased.
We stayed for a wrestling tournament. The closer locations we're booked because of the sports complex. This hotel is older and in dire need of a renovation. There were a lot of people there for various sports and a lot of partying. The floor shook, the walls shook and the elevator was scary. It was a large room but the beds almost felt like air mattresses. Old school ac unit was good white noise to drown out parties a bit. Tile in bathroom was cracked. Ceiling in bathroom was sloppily repaired. I do not feel we got what we paid for. We stayed here also because we're IHG members. Not the best hotel but ok if you're desperate.
Looks like Holiday Inn bought this hotel from another company. Needs lots of improvements. I stayed here twice in one week. Had to ask for bedding for sleeper sofa both night I stayed here. Light switches that go to nothing. In the shower, the hot was actually opposite then it was supposed to be. First night we stayed they didn't make sure the breakfast was properly stocked with food and the cheese omelets were cold in the middle. They should of renovated the whole hotel instead of just the lobby and breakfast area.
Per the title, I had a very good stay and would recommend this Holiday Inn Express for anyone trekking up/down I-75. If I had any issues with the facility is that the room bathroom could have been cleaner. Seems like that is the "sore spot" with pretty much any hotel for me. Otherwise, everything else was fine. I think the location is the biggest advantage with being just North of Atlanta.
Hidden between two other hotels is this HI Express but glad we found it. The staff are courteous and professional. Our room was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. I was a little disappointed that they closed the breakfast bar at 9:30 on a Sunday. Other HI Express I've stayed at usually keep it open longer on weekends. That being my only complaint, when I am in the area I'll gladly stay here again. Enjoy
