Great staff, accommodations and dining. Any staff member that we "ran into" would greet us and would ask how we were doing. It's obvious that customer service is a high priority. They just made you feel welcomed and appreciated. All the waitresses and the bartender knew (without us telling them) that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We thank each of them for the care and service they gave us. Out visit there was perfect in every way.
We had a great time and I really like this resort but feel it's a bit overpriced. We were there for a wedding and everything and I mean everything was extra. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage. Very nice but worthless refrigerator and no microwave. We loved the firepits out front and the beer garden was fantastic.
A magical 4 days at The Barnsley Resort. So much to do in a great atmosphere. Every staff member was extremely helpful. Food and service was exceptional. Fabulous golf course. We will definitely ben coming back in the future. Our cottage was wonderful.
I guess if you are looking for campy style resort, this might suit your pleasure, however, I found the grounds lovely and the rooms below average with the exception of the comfort of the beds. They were extremely comfortable. Food on site was expensive and above average in quality which I don't object to except I don't always want to spend a great deal on each meal. No ability to heat a sandwich or cup of soup in your room which averages $500.00 a night for the cottages. For two people that is a bit much. No dishes, silverware, trash bags, dish soap or daily needs provided. Wifi was good, room was dark and furnished rustic which was fine. The grounds are maintained with detail and lovely place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Event location nice too for a wedding or gathering but still needs daily needs attention in my opinion. Overpriced in my opinion
Peaceful accommodations with excellent food, choices of sport and leisure activities and spa services. Family activities available for all ages. Easy walking distances to clear the "cobwebs" after formal conference and training sessions. Dog friendly.
We just held our second company meeting at Barnsley. Everything is always fabulous. The overnight accommodations are up to date and sparkling clean, the food is delicious, the meeting spaces are great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there are activities for everyone. Barnsley will be on our regular rotation for future division meetings.
Very nice cottages and golf course. There are plenty of hiking trails and rich historical places to look at. Also there are shooting ranges for skeet, and rifles. A Large spa and pool area. Catch and release fishing, horse back riding and much more.
This Resort is very beautiful and serene. It’s a very short drive for my family which makes it the perfect weekend getaway. I can’t wait to return to enjoy some of the activities. Book early and shop around for the best prices, I have however paid less for way more amenities at other beautiful resorts within a 2 1/2 hour drive of home..Free WiFi was very slow and Sprint service was “hit or miss”. Overall, our 1 night stay was great!
We rented a four bedroom Manor which was very pricey. It was beautiful comfortable and clean. We even received a gift basket with wine and nuts. In the past we have had vanity bags/packs in the bathrooms and while this might seem like a small extra, when you pay this price the little extras make a big difference.
We planned a surprise weekend for my dad's 80th birthday. Family came on from all over (17 of us). The surprise went off without a hitch with the help of the Barnsley staff. All weekend, the staff was wishing him a happy birthday and they even all signed a birthday card for him that I didn't even know about. The meals were excellent and the special dinner in the bamboo garden was quaint, private, and beautiful. Absolutely a perfect way for us to all get to tell dad what he means to us. Barnsley made it easy to plan and made me look like a rock star for planning such a great weekend, but I didn't feel like I had to do much. Everyone enjoyed the activities and time together. It was perfectly perfect.
