My wife and I stayed here a week ago the night before a holiday break. What a fantastic stay. Room was clean and well equipped. Dinner was amazing with great service . Nights sleep was A1. Then to top it off breakfast was very tasty and plenty full . Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Will defiantly return.

Stayed for 2 weeks end of September due to house sale and delay in new build. The cleanliness of the first room we stayed in was well below par for a supposedly 4 star hotel. You could actually write in the dust on the surfaces. On one occasion the cleaning staff left their pass key and clipboard in our room so we could have easily accessed any room in the hotel if we were of that type of person. The food is ok but nothing special (and how can a four star hotel run out of coleslaw at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon ? ). At times there was an element of “Fawlty Towers” going on ,such as “the spilt soup over the head “ episode and the”wipe up the drink in the crotch” moment amongst many more. Finally when I went to pay the room tab on departure they tried to charge me an extra £250 for days stayed etc. Admin error they eventually admitted. This is an hotel that is definitely living on past reputation and because of a lack of local competition, doesn’t feel it needs to try to much to uphold a high star rating.

The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel very comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and found the location great for giving access to other places. We ate out in Newport twice, and we went walking in the Brecon Beacons, both places being really easy to access. The immediate environment (a Business Park) may seem a little odd but the hotel is situated in lovely gardens. The buffet provided at breakfast has extensive choice so my husband was able to have his full English cooked breakfast and I had a continental version. Our room was of a good size and the bed was very comfortable. We would happily stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We had a decent sized and comfortable room Staff were very friendly Carvery not my favourite choice was good. There was entertainment in the evening a trio playing music from the 50-60’s which was really nice Breakfast was fine , buffet style, odd that for the carvery you went up but they served you your veg whilst at breakfast you were able to serve yourself 🤷‍♀️ Although we didn’t use there was an excellent pool

I loved the view of the beautiful gardens we had from our room. The bed was large my partner is 6’3 and he didn’t hang over the end, sheets were crisp and the pillows were very comfy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming both on reception and the room attendants we see each morning. Nothing was to much bother for the ladies on reception replenishing our tea and coffee, helping us with directions and calling cabs, it feels like they genuinely want you to have the best time possible. We would definitely stay at parkway again!

We stayed here for two nights to attend my partners brothers wedding. Having travelled for 3 hours we were looking forward to a relaxing weekend. This Hotel delivers! Very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, efficient and smiling staff on reception bode well for our visit. Our double room to the rear of the Hotel was perfect, great ensuite, high quality bed linens and comfortable bed. For the first night we had prebooked Ravellos, the Hotel Restuarant. We eat out a lot, but without exception the quality and presentation of the food outshone our expectations. Again, a great atmosphere, discreet but efficient and fun waiting staff also ensured that we enjoyed an amazing dinner. Very well done indeed. Room service here is prompt and as with every other aspect of service at The Parkway, with a genuine smile. Now to the Wedding day, this needs repeating...fantastic staff in all areas, serving the excellent 3 courses for the Wedding Breakfast, the waiting staff were young but quick and efficient and lovely smiles all round. They perfectly understood their roles individually and collectively as a team, your were BRILLIANT, Thank you!! Our evening began and ended with much "merriment"😁😁😁😁 mainly at the Bar...We ordered drinks in the Lounge bar early in the evening, in particular we were after a very specific whisky liqueur, sadly they hadn't any left😔😔so other drinks in hand we went through to the festivities. Thinking no more about the liqueur, my partner was hailed by the very lovely and cute Josh, who had scoured the Hotel bars and found the little number we were after, this level of customer care and service is hard to find in a 5 star hotel so to experience it in a 4 star hotel is fabulous, and again, very genuine and sincere. Thank you to Josh and the entire team at The Parkway, you are a fantastic gang and you all make the Hotel a wonderful place to stay, we will be back for sure. To the Manager, please pass our review to all the staff, oh there is one gripe actually, can you please relocate to the New Forest area, you're too far away....

Stayed 27 to 30 Sept. Overall a big hotel with spa, pool and food available all day. We enjoyed the dragons den which guests can use, with sofas, games, and sky so we could watch sport. On arrival I was a bit overwhelmed as I am disabled and it's quick a long walk to hotel and rooms. To be fair to hotel an accessible room was offered but we had booked twin room, and we should have mentioned it in the booking. It's not a criticism of hotel more a point if your walking ability isn't great. Also I struggled as there is no lift to 1st floor and stairs to pool and hot tub and I couldn't see a disabled changing room. My roomie thought pool was nice. I am not complaining as I enjoyed my stay but trying to offer feedback on how you could improve life for your guests who are disabled but not in wheelchairs. A lift to pool and rooms, and perhaps a chair half way along in corridors would really help someone like me. So, on to the positives, we enjoyed the food, especially the carvery, and coffee and ice slices in the afternoon watching footie. The beds were very comfortable and we thought that filter coffee as well as sachets in room were a nice touch. Your staff are really the strength of your business here. All of them were polite, friendly and efficient. We particularly impressed with one young gentlemen in the evening who carried my carvery to my table as I couldnt using my walking sticks, I'm sorry I didn't get your name. Over the course of our short stay, at the bar in the lounge and in the dragons den we were helped by a gentlemen called Ethan. I've only bothered to write a review because he was so exceptional. I rarely write reviews. However Ethan was polite, efficient and genuinely helpful. I am quite a nervous person, and new places and social situations are not a happy thing for me. I don't like 'posh' hotels where I have to dress up, where I feel I can't relax. Ethan had that rare quality where he provided great efficient service, but did so on our level. He carried things I was could not without making me feel embarrassed, and put us at ease, having a conversation with us as if we were interesting, (for all I know we might be incredibly boring!) and not just because we were guests, and I'm sure that's hard in hotel business. It was a pleasure to meet you Ethan and I hope your boss gets to see this and realises what an asset you and your colleagues to this hotel. The hotel is clean and functional but the friendly staff made our stay and made us very likely to return. Thank you very much.

We booked a one night stay as we were visiting friends in Newport. We booked a Junior Suite. Approach to the hotel is lovely well kept grounds and carpark. We were checked in efficiently. We were allocated the Raglan Suite. First impressions were just amazing. Very clean room. Furnishings were 1st class. Bathroom was 5⭐lovely shower and toiletries. Everything you could need including 4 bottles of mineral water 2 on desk and 2 in the mini bar along with fresh semi skimmed milk. Breakfast the following morning was just as impressive. We were offered a table for 2 in the lounge area as the main Restaurant was busy with no spare tables. This suited us perfectly as it was nice a quiet. Breakfast is buffet selection of fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries and cereals and then hot selection of Full English produce. All was high quality produce not supermarket sausages !!! Poached Eggs were spot on. Our only complaint was that we'd only booked one night. We had stayed last year at the Celtic Manor Resort and I can honestly say that for the price we paid at The Parkway this hotel deserves a 5+⭐rating. We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great hotel. Easy, quick check in by very friendly staff. Attended the Las Vegas party night and it was fantastic. We were part of a group of 16 and we had a great evening. Breakfast the following morning was also delightful. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!! Hoping to visit again before Xmas 👍🏻

Big thank you to Rey on reception. Rey welcomed us and due to typo she got us a Penthouse Suite to say sorry. She looked after us throughout our stay and was a great laugh. The Suite was clean and out of this world. Big thanks and we will surely be back! X
