The property is centrally located and only short walk to the waterfront. The restaurant offers a limited menu, but what I ate was good.

My first impression of the hotel wast that it appeared utilitarian and designed for students, but once inside I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The designs made it very comfortable and relaxing. It is also very conveniently located for shops and places to eat and is in walking distance of the Waterfront. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Worse Hotel experience. I have experienced 5 Star to R&R accommodations. All have been very good to enjoyable. I have never got close to this bad experience. Check in ok but there after it got bad. WiFi out for over 3 months. Wash cloth removed and lost. Over charged breakfast and laundry instruction not followed and charged.. Coordination between employees poor. Avoid this hotel. I would even question Protea after learning about the WiFi situation. Since I had prepaid for 5 nights. I endured the the poor condition

I was in Cape Town on my first visit. This was primarily a business trip but I had a weekend day to enjoy Cape Town. The Protea Hotel Victoria Junction is conveniently located for business travelers and tourists alike.

Clean, large rooms, within walkable distance to the V&A Waterfront and has a restaurant, pool and free wi-fi. Also close to De Waterkant, the gay district in Cape Town, which is a plus if that's your scene, and Greenside and the Cape Town Stadium if that's your scene. They have a complimentary shuttle to the Waterfront at night, but not at the most convenient times. Downsides are that the restaurant isn't great and the wi-fi is intermittent. And if you want to make it to the CBD, it is a bit of a trek. But overall, great value for what you get. I'd recommend.

There was a slight snafu with my reservation, so the hotel instantly upgraded my room to a superior. The food at breakfast and room service is wonderful and very reasonably-priced. It's also within walking distance to St. George's Plaza and the Waterfront. The best part, though, is how incredibly friendly the staff was throughout my stay, I can't wait to go back.
