Stayed here for a week in July, first time being a solo traveler in a foreign country. Service was great, but depended on who you got. Tried to book activities through the hostel but there were often times some mix up, and staff wasn't super knowledgable about any outside companies that might be cheaper, running similar day excursions. Would have loved it if someone could have sat down with me and helped to plan the best/ cheapest itinerary for the week. Staff will help but you definitely have to advocate about getting questions answered. Wifi was always good and reliable, beds were comfortable, people were pretty respectful about keeping quite at night, showers were great (hot and lots of water pressure), kitchen upstairs had everything you'd need to cook a meal, great location on the MyCiti bus route, also easy to walk to waterfront from there, free coffee all day!
Really nice hostel, super location. Walking distance from example waterfront. Nice staff. Dorms can be a little big and noisy. Nice bar with beerpong and braai evenings. If you go to cape town, I would defenatly reccomand this hostel
If your looking for a Backpackers around Capetown this is the one for you awesome vibes great service best value for your money. I'll definitely be back. One of the best backpackers that I've ever been to so far
The place looks just as it's pictured. It's only a short taxi ride to the waterfront. Great friendly staff, the girl working on reception was a great help to us! They have a little bar downstairs with cheap drinks and a bbq on Saturdays for everyone to get together. Overall good place.
I was there with a friend of mine, we had a great stay and I honestly don't have complaints. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. It had a great atmosphere. Beds were clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend A Sunflower Stop and they will certainly be seeing me again.
Stayed here in a private double bed room for a couple of nights. The staff were very friendly, it's nice how it's small so that you can get to know people easily even if travelling on your own like myself. The room was good although bathroom missing shower curtain. I imagine it would be even better in summer with the bar open to the outside and the pool in use. Shame there are no breakfast/restaurant facilities but it's not that sort of place, Would recommend
Felt like I was staying at a friends home and the staff was very friendly and very helpful I was quite impressed definitely have to go back sometime soon. They have a nice kitchen too bad they didn't have an oven to make lasagna otherwise I had a very pleasant stay.
Was very surprised as it was the first time that I stayed in a backpacker venue. The venue is very closed to all the main attractions, and you can walk if you want. I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I shall definitely use them again.
This was quite a suprise to me and my colleagues, we did not know what to expect, but it was like visiting a friends home, we felt welcome immediately and the staff was very helpful as we had to travel
Being my first time staying at a back packers I really enjoyed the stay - Rooms and place very clean. Hotels people friendly...just some of the tourists are a bit stuck up. The kitchen was well organised and none of our food disappeared. We are on a sport trip
