Was disappointed that I was not offered a "refurbished" room as the hotel was mostly empty. As a repeat guest , I was hoping that this would be available to me. It was - but only with an additional charge.

there wasnt a kitchenette like we paid fir, just a microwave and mini fridge, no stove ir way to cook for my son with celiac and a number of severe food allergies. Our food i brought fo cook was wasted and we have to head home earlier as a result. Paid for nothing, might as well as stayed in any cheap motel

Our state was very nice. The only thing that I can comment on is the coffee supplies and the tea supplies could’ve been replenished the second day other than that the day was very nice.

Location is perfect, quiet,safe, beautiful neighborhood with walk ability if you prefer not to drive.Accommodations were clean and lovely. Plenty of available onsite parking. Pier house food was delicious, all staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend

Although NJ was in a state of emergency due to a nor’easter, the staff at La Mer refused to refund or reschedule our booking. They told us to get on the road and come there as planned, despite the fact that when we stayed there a few years ago the entire hotel and restaurant lost power for hours during a similar storm. I guess business hasn’t been going great for them if they really needed our $$$ deposit. We were loyal customers and spent time there every summer until now. Not anymore.
