The property just didn’t live up to what we were expecting. The pictures showed a large lot and we were excited for extra space to fish. Fishing wasn’t great. The lot, while large, was not kept up well. Lots of sticks and yard debris when walking to the canal for fishing with no designated path. The pool area has some very loose bricks and those became a concern when wet. This property advertised in both the listing description, and pictures, an outdoor tv. When we arrived we didn’t see one and reached out to the host. We did get a response same day but, the next day being Easter, we didn’t hear back with a resolution until Monday. We were told that one would be installed on Wednesday. When they came, they didn’t have the correct mount, so the tv was placed on the ground, just a few feet from the pool. As a family with 4 kids, this was less than ideal. They were supposed to come back Thursday but didn’t. We messaged on Friday to ask they not disturb our last day. To our surprise, we received a knock at the door from two people who identified themselves as employees. The original person had a polo with the logo for the company. The visitors on Friday were wearing street clothes and absolutely made me feel uncomfortable. We’ve stayed at dozens of properties in the Cape. We’ve gone back to many. This would not be one we return to.
