It was blasting with cold air at 65 degrees outside wild party down stairs in lobby. After party kids hung out in hallway across from my room. Saw bunch of guys and girls go into same room. My dog came home with deer tick. The blankets were printed quilt with dingy oder. There was no shampoo, conditioner in shower. There was no bottle of water in room. Per night room rate was not cheap. Some doors don't read your room key into building. I never received any appology or credit from general manager all he said was he would call the cops if the kids don't keep quiet across the hall. On a positive note it is walking distance to ferry boat to Martha's vineyard. I'd say this place is worth $50 per night
We stayed one night before taking the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our standard king was very roomy, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom quite clean. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast before we were on our way.
Overall, the hotel was OK and clean. One couple in our group was assigned to a room- a room with wet carpet that management was aware of. The heater had been turned on - in June - to dry the carpet, to no avail. The couple was moved to another room. We did have a large group and management was ill prepared. They knew we were coming but didn't have ample breakfast food on hand. And what they did have was VERY basic. There was ONE staffer trying to attend the breakfast bar- poor thing was overwhelmed! We had dinner one night; terrible. One friend ordered a drink; after several attempts the bartender couldn't get it right. The manager came out to address the issue; he was rude and not hospitable.
Decided to stay here on 2 nights going over to the vineyard, recently remodeled, clean rooms, new carpeting, great bar and restaurant....what I didn't like was on check in (off season) the owner or manager was training family how to check in which took up 20 minutes of my time approximately 2:30 pm, which I didn't mind until he told me rooms would not be ready till check in at 3....okay went to town for a bite came back 2 hours later, carried bags into lobby to see another clerk behind counter and was told room is ready.....then he exclaimed you shouldn't have brought your bags in your room is at the end which was 1/8 of a mile down (long hotel)...okay put bags back in drove to room and checked in....now when we returned from checking out town later that evening there were no cars for the first 200 rooms parked outside and there was no one there. I explained to the front desk the owner owes me a drink jokingly, for making me wait so long and why did he put us so far away and why weren't the rooms ready???? seemed peculiar to me. Anyhow we were pleased with the place and the cleanliness... the next evening 4 busloads of people moved in and most were also put in back of motel....as they awoke the next am (6 a,m.) very noisy....walls thin and you can hear the hair dryers working, then the complimentary breakfast had a lot to be desired, not much of anything...so we opted for a diner down the street. Worth the price (off season)....
This place was recently remodeled. It was reasonably priced. The front staff was very nice. The location is great. In the middle of a quaint stretch ofvthe village. The weather was quite dreary so we took advantage of the pool. The continental breakfast was appreciated. I would stay again.
Nice newly renovated hotel. Close to downtown Falmouth. They have some pet friendly rooms for an extra $20. Breakfast a little skimpy. Bagels pastries, apples juice & cereal. Coffee too. Didn't really bother me as we like to go out for a real breakfast when traveling
This was our first stay and we were pleased. The hotel had been recently renovated and the rooms were very clean. The staff was welcoming and got us into a room immediately despite us arriving early. I had both my girls with me and the hotel provided a pack n play for my littlest to sleep in. The pool was clean and well-maintained. Excellent location and good value for the money.
Good location and good prices for the week stay. Recently remodeled hotel, staff was friendly, restaurant was pretty good. Breakfast was very contextual, but we knew that already. My only concern was outside entrance doors we very old, did not close most of the time and never appeared to be locked to utilize only a guest card. That needs to be fixed immediately for the security of the guests.
Great location, this was a good value for in season. The room was recently renovated and nice/clean. Close to beaches, bike trails and the ferry to the Vineyard. Service was okay... room for improvement... pool and spa needed cleaning and the breakfast was meh.
Good value for the location. Rooms were very nice, recently renovated and include a micro as well as fridge. Near the Shining Sea bike path, Falmouth Harbor and Steamship Authority. The pool and hot tub needed attention and the breakfast was meh. Overall it's a good place to stop.
