What a wonderful house in a beautiful location! We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and on the beach. Weather was perfect, restaurants and shops in town were fun to explore. Overall a perfect getaway!

We asked a dozen questions before booking because Cape Charles was a new area for us. The owners were patient, helpful, and super responsive throughout our decision process. House was fantastic and the town beach is a gem for families! Note for parents of young kids - the huge tub in the primary bedroom is the most kid friendly for baths. Not a big deal for us at all.

Relaxing Getaway

We had an amazing stay at Drop Anchor. The location was perfect, the home is spacious with great outdoor spaces, especially the screened porch! Cape Charles did not disappoint!

2nd year staying in this property. Last year impressed so much it was an easy decision to stay there again this year. Wonderful stay this year. Very nice property and great amenities. Excellent host. Makes coordinating the stay very easy and communicates very well and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a wonderful stay at Drop Anchor! We loved the location of the house with the option of spending time at the marina or in town! The house was well equipped and clean. We loved having the option of renting the golf cart which made the experience so much more fun! We would definitely rent again. The owner and property manager were very easy to communicate with which made the experience even better!

Beautiful Home

House was beautiful and incredibly clean. Location of home was great. Loved the community it was located in and just a quick walk or drive to the public beach. It was the perfect place for our quick family spring break trip.

Had a fantastic family stay. Something for everyone! House is beautiful and they have all kinds of games inside and out. The community and s quiet and fun. We rented the golf cart and drove all over cape Charles. Grandkids loved it. The water at the private beach and the public beach is great for little ones. We hope to come back!

Great Property!

We had a great stay in Cape Charles! The house was beautiful and very well equipped with everything you could need. The optional golf cart rental was a great addition for our group and was very comparable to the local rental but a much nicer vehicle. Working with property management was a breeze, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing get away.

House was perfectly clean, comfortable, with plenty of space to spread out and remote work areas. The kitchen was well-stocked, beds comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and games. The golf cart is top of the line! There is access to a community pool, tennis/pickleball courts, and it is very close to a private beach. Excellent communication by the host!

Cape Charles Weekend

Everything was wonderful! The house is amazing and fully stocked with everything you need. A short walk to beach access and a short ride to the shopping distract and restaurants. The host great. One of the nicest VRBO’s we have ever rented.

Spacious and clean house

House was well-equipped including with beach toys/chairs,etc, very clean, had plenty of space and was located in a quiet gated neighborhood close to the main cape Charles bay beach.

Wonderful liesure area

The openness of the living, dining and sitting area was awesome! The layout a bit different, the only bathroom on the main floor was really used allot! Wish it was a seperate bathroom.

Superb house

This house is nicely decorated and well appointed. The kitchen is fully furnished with all the necessary equipment and plate ware. The furniture is comfortable and high quality. The garages are also equipped with beach equipment, games, and an excellent golf cart (extra fee for use).

Beautiful home

We really enjoyed staying at Drop Anchor. The home was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed including the use of the golf cart. Communication with Trey was outstanding. He was always quick to respond to my emails. We will definitely book this home in the future!

Family beach vacation

Great house accommodations, close to the Bay and only a 50min drive to the Ocean. The town was quaint and close enough to walk. The property manager was quick to respond to questions and/or issues. The house was spotless, even the window sills were dust free! Would 100% recommend.

Amazing Easter Weekend

We planned a sibling weekend with our family’s included. Our brother and spouse from Iceland joined us and the rest of traveled down from Richmond. 2 hour drive and were there. Amazing community and the house….wow! Cure private beach nearby but i definitely recommend the beach in town. Easy drive in the golf cart or car. Lots of. Ute shopped and place to eat. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back.
