My husband and I spent a glorious week at Zoetry Villa Rolandi and though we don't like to travel any place twice, this will be the exception. I have been looking for a perfect "nearby" resort that offers peace and quiet without the noisy club scene or frenetic pool side drinking games. When I go on a vacation for the purpose of relaxing and doing nothing more mentally taxing than reading a good book, I want the sound of the ocean as my soundtrack. Villa Rolandi was perfect! 35 rooms, with a small but beautiful beach, 2 restaurants, 2 pools and a hot tub. No club music. Anywhere. :) Because of its size, there were always chairs and umbrellas available at the beach or poolside, and the waitstaff was never more than a minute or two from walking by if you needed a refill. No need to ask for water, they bring you a bucket of ice and bottled water as soon as you settle into your chair. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive! We had a pool side room and when we were sitting at our patio, they would even come by our patio to bring us drinks or food. The food was amazing, a little too amazing per my waistline, but I liked the casual restaurant a little bit better than the fancy one. Ceviche is a must have! I didn't partake in the yoga or the fitness center like I had planned, but I did spend a lot of time swimming and kayaking in the calm ocean. The ocean was warm, and gorgeous! One of the most spectacular views I have seen in years. Bernice gave us some great ideas of where to go around the island, so when you see her or Malena, let them give you a map and some tips; you won't regret heading to Punta Sur! I can go on and on, but really you get the idea. The resort was fabulous...small, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, wonderful! (Definitey not good for families due to size and lack of activities.) Perfect for people looking to unwind and unplug.
From beginning to end the experience at ZOETRY was nothing less than amazing. The service we received was certainly 5 stars and I would recommend anyone that is looking to be catered to and enjoy some delicious food to visit. A private beach, a private yacht that includes a sunset cruise, the best restaurants, the best views, and the best service can be found at Zoetry. Thank you Zoetry for providing my husband and I such an amazing experience on our vacation.
we had a fabulous time at zoetry! the rooms were big, great beds, awesome service, great food! we have been to numerous all inclusive resorts in mexico and throughout the caribbean - this is definitely one of the best.
We cannot stress enough the privacy and the quietness of this resort. The private beach is amazing. It’s small but it’s more than enough for the 35 rooms they offer. Because it’s a small hotel they really are attentive to all the guests!! I love their service, super friendly and they will go out of their way to make sure you have what you want. The restaurants are very good. I highly recommend dining at the French restaurant as it is a 7 course meal that changes daily. If you can you must try and get a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony, you will not regret it!
I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at this resort. We had a wonderful time, from the moment we got on the boat to the resort to the moment we left the resort. It was relaxing, fun, amazing food, friendly and great staff, and we always were greeted and made sure to feel we were comfortable. The hotel staff made sure to wish me a happy birthday, and always checked in to see if we needed anything. The other guests at the resort were also fun, and helped us to enjoy our stay. Meeting guests who had been coming to the resort for over 10 years, showed us that this resort lives up to it's current quality and excellence. I would return to this resort, and would recommend it to other family and friends. The only thing I could do without, was the spill that was given to us after check in, which was trying to get us to join a timeshare presentation, but I understand that they had to provide us with this.
Zoetry and their staff are amazing. They constantly tried to ensure that all was going well and assist us in any way possible. Malena was of particular help throughout our stay. The rooms are also phenomenal! Highly recommend!
Normally, my husband and I do not make repeat visits to the same resorts - not because there is anything wrong, but because there are so many other places in this world to visit, and since we usually try to take 1 vacation a year, we usually want to experience other locations. That is, until we visited Zoetry Villa Rolandi last May, and this year, we were both eager to make a return visit. And we are so glad we did. Cocoon, the hotel's catamaran that transports you to and from the ferry to the hotel, was very prompt and offered us sparkling wine, beer, and water. They ride was very fast. I don't know if it is because this is a boutique hotel (35 rooms) or maybe we stood out somehow last year, but this year, upon arrival, we were instantly welcomed and remembered from last year by some of the staff. That is a really great feeling. We remembered Ana instantly and were so happy to see her. She is so helpful and great at what she does, and she has the best laugh. She instantly makes you happy and relaxed. The hotel offers coupons that you can use on extras like the spa, romantic dinner, bottles of wine, etc. They will also assist with arrangements like renting a golf cart or figuring out excursions. Just ask the front desk or concierge, and they will take great care of you. As mentioned above, this is a boutique hotel. It has 35 rooms. All of them are ocean view and the first floor rooms walk out to the pools. We find the beds to be comfortable and the room to be cozy, yet spacious. There are plenty of spaces to hang clothes or put clothing in drawers. The bathroom is also spacious and we love the double headed shower. We were on the 3rd floor and our view was gorgeous. There was also a table and a jacuzzi tub on the balcony. You receive a welcome bottle of tequila and sparkling wine the first day. I think you need to ask if you want the wine replenished on consecutive days after, and I am not sure if there would be a cost for that. But the mini fridge and snacks of pringles and m&ms are replenished daily. Room service is 24 hours. I've been able to get other things not listed on the room service menu. Food always arrived quickly and always hot. There are 2 restaurants onsite - Casa Rolandi and Le Metissage. Casa Rolandi is described as Italian-Swiss northern. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is also the more casual attire restaurant. Le Metissage is described as French-Mexican. Their menu changes daily and they do a 7 course tasting menu. The portions are a little smaller but that's good be sure there are 7 courses. I never left hungry. Le Metissage also has a dressier attire requirement. As far as all-inclusive resorts go, the food here is spectacular and delicious. My faves were actually from Casa Rolandi - the Azteca for breakfast, the Tiradito de Mar (Peruvian sashimi), and the lasagna bolognese. Our compliments to the chefs and staff in the kitchens - your food is fantastic! The Cozy Bar opens at 5, and Hilario and Josefar took great care of us. Great conversation and wonderful cocktails and drinks! The beach is small but private. We never had an issue finding chairs or umbrellas, and if there are not any, they will bring you one. (I believe this is the same for the pool but we are more beach people and spent time at the beach). Juarez and staff took exceptional care of us while beachside by making sure we never ran out of palomas and/or other drinks and food. I believe the same courtesy is extended to all of the poolside guests as well. Regarding pools, there is a salt water pool, a chlorine pool, and a hot tub. This is not the type of hotel that has water volleyball and screaming spring breakers and other type of daily entertainment. This hotel is relaxing, peaceful, romantic, and tranquil. They do, however, have some daily wellness and activity events that are listed daily. We loved it; there were complimentary 5 minute chair massages, wine tastings, cooking class, Spanish lessons, yoga, etc. offered. Thank you, Christian and team! If you're in to working on your fitness, there is a gym onsite. I believe there are weights and treadmills and whatnot, but admittedly, I was not in to working on my fitness this vacation. The spa is small and does not offer the hydrotherapy circuit that other AM resorts do, but you will have an amazing massage. We did a couples massage and had Ana and Teresita. They are fabulous. They also have a complimentary sunset cruise where they will take you out on the catamaran to watch the sun set. They also provide wine, beer and water (and probably soda) and take pictures for you. It is a nice perk! We also did a dinner on the beach. The service was incredible. We could not have had a better evening. Special thank you to our servers, Carlos and Melby! Hmmm...what else? Get pesos. The hotel has an ATM and can also give pesos but you may get a better exchange rate in town. We've used ATMs at Chedraui and exchanged at the ferry terminal where you don't need your passport. Rent a golf cart; it's fun to zip around the island. Try local cuisine. Go see a sunrise at Punta Sur; it's glorious. Feed the turtles at Tortugtanja. Volunteer and walk dogs and play with them at Isla Animals. If you like scuba diving, take advantage. Check out Playa Sol and Playa Norte and Playa Centro. There are so many things to do on this beautiful island. Live like an islander. Live la vida isla. Oh, and please take care of those taking care of you. I get it's "all-inclusive," but the staff truly goes above and beyond for you; showing appreciation is always accepted. Sorry for the long review. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. To Malena, Ana, and Berneice for always making sure everything is perfect, to Endrigio and Jose ("Miller Lite" says hi to you, Jose!) at the front desk, to Dennis the Menace, Ariana, Alejandro, Carlos, Melby, Juan Andredae, and so many others at the restaurants, to Hilario, Josefar, and Juarez for making and serving such great drinks either behind the bar or by taking care of us while we're on the beach, to Christian for promoting the activities, to Ana and Teresita at the spa, Luisa for taking care of our room, and to so many others - muchas, muchas gracias. You all made our stay so wonderful. Hasta luego!
We stayed at this property to celebrate my husband’s birthday and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. This small, boutique property is beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was absolutely outstanding. Every employee that we engaged with was professional, pleasant and very helpful. A special “thanks” to Hose, Jesus, Rosa and Christian. Thank you for going well above and beyond to make our trip special. We can’t wait to return.
Beautiful property and views. Smallest of the Zoetry resorts (~35 rooms), but a perfect place if you want peace and quiet. The Le Messitage restaurant is 5 star and the staff is fantastic. Would recommend eating here every night (closed Tuesday)! Pool area unfortunately does not have enough chairs to accommodate a full house to get there early.
It was fabulous, we loved the accommodations. the food. the service, all of it! We highly recommend this resort for a laid back luxurious get away. And easy access to the downtown area via cab or rental golf cart.
