Was a very good place to stay would tell people about it cause it was good good location good money good staff available good staff good place clean place all round thumbs up. Door was a bit Jamed but it's okay no worries
The room was good, the apartment complex was quiet inside but there is a lot of street noise. I think this may be because of single glazed windows and sound echoing due to the verandahs on the Melbourne Building and other buildings in this location. There is a problem with drunks or homeless people screaming out ALL night, and this is the third time I have experienced this here. I flew in from Perth and had to be up at 4:15am the next day so I got no rest. I will be trying somewhere else next time.
Quest Canberra is centrally located in proximity to lots of restaurants and cafes, a block away from the Canberra Museum and only a 15 minute bus ride from the National Gallery of Australia precinct. It's a great spot to stay.
1. No where to park the car for the 10 minutes required to check in. 2. Hotel promotes free internet. The reality is that only 100Mb per day is free. Quite annoying to be mislead. 3. Every time I tried to access the WiFi, it seemed I had to log in again. 4. Shower temperature in my room (room 1) was very difficult to set. It was either scorching hot or luke warm. 5. If you stay on a Friday or Saturday night, be prepared for various streams of the local uni students making their loud way back home at various times in the middle of the night. Having said that, the room had everything else needed. It was well appointed, clean, comfortable. The bed was quite firm and very comfortable to sleep on. The staff are friendly. Finally, the location close to the uni and the city centre is great.
Staff were excellent. Rooms clean and bed comfortable. The hotel itself could do with some maintenance. Lift made very loud noises and there was an overpowering smell of sewerage in the reception and hallways. Air deodorisers or fresheners had been used in attempt to cover the smell. Both were overpowering. This was the only disappointing thing.
Nice, clean hotel room however due to the location the noise of the city woke me up every night of my stay. Lots of restaurants nearby which is great however was unable to get a proper sleep due to the noise.
My father and I were staying at quest west row during his visit to Canberra hospital, I was there 3 nights my father in seperate room 1 night, Natalie upon booking was amazingly helpful and Kristin was a champion at reception in every way shape and form, rooms were neat and tidy and balcony was great as I am a smoker and this is one of the few hotels anywhere in Aus to accommodate my needs... I would stay there again.
Do •Describe the service you experienced -> good •Tell us how you liked the room -> excellent room, nice sleep quality •Talk about the location & amenities -> excellent location.lots of eateries adjacent and close to Coles and other retailers •Say what you liked best & least Overall I liked everything , the toilet exhaust can be more powerful .the mirrors get foggy after shower.
After specifically booking onsite parking, paying for it and confirming over the phone I arrived to be told parkings full and I would have to park hundreds of meters away. After expressing my dissatisfaction the manager responded with "You booked through a 3rd party site there isn't much we can do." Definitely won't recommend people to stay there with family or for business.
Room great but you need to get the Shower out of bath as its very inconvenient and cramped and also dangerous the older you get. No Foxtel meant the TV was effectively useless so I left it on JJJ .........(which isn't TV)
