This property is tired and needs an upgrade. The rooms are very basic for the price - handwash dispensers in the bathrooms and that is all (so make sure you have your own shampoo, conditioner etc). A few capsules of milk for the powdered instant coffee, rickety lift...you get the picture. The door to our room didn't shut properly and popped open while we were out (I hope noone went in there) We picked the area for convenience to the city, but it was very very noisy outside all night - drunks, sirens, traffic. Not enough parking spaces so parked out in the street mostly. The one space we did find on Saturday night was at the back of the motel where a couple of addicts were lying on the grass. Did not feel safe at the property and the interior doesn't compensate. Some noise inside late at night too and the whole corridor just reeked of cooked food. A tick for proximity to Braddon and the city.

Decent enough place to stay. Its very dated. The common areas are kept dark and there is a musty smell in the halls. But the rooms are clean and fairly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast helped improve the score.

On checking in, my credit card which was used to secure the booking was charged even though I ticked the pay on arrival button and I was standing at the counter with my eftpos card. This meant that I then had to go into my bank accounts and move money around which was inconvenient. The room was nice and large with cloud-like beds that were beautiful to sleep on. When I pulled down the blind there was a big strip of dust the length of the blind. I'm not sure anyone had ever cleaned along the top of the blind rolller. The rest of the room was spotless. Great shower and a nice sized bathroom. I couldn't get any free to air tv channnels to work so had to resort to watching the news on the nine now app. Seven plus wouldn't work and there wasn't even an sbs app that I could watch. Disappointing that you couldn't just turn the tv on and watch a show. Maybe some directions on how to use the remote would also be handy. The first time we went down to have breakfast we were turned away as they were so busy there were no tables left. However, when we returned 15 minutes later the breakfast was lovely with nice fresh hot pancakes. I originally booked the hotel because it included breakfast and had it's own free car park. But the car park was small and the spaces were so narrow you literally had to do a 27 point turn to get in or out of the space. I even had to climb over to the passenger side to climb out of my car as there wasn't enough room to open my drivers door.

The property was easy to locate and had convenient parking underneath. Walking distance to central Canberra City. My room was clean and had updated, modern furniture and bathroom/kitchenette. Bed was comfy! I would recommend and will consider this property again on my next trip to the capital.

Nice quiet area but tram just across the road.. breakfast was basic but nice… the room was a decent size with small self contained kitchen. Bed was comfortable…. But to extremely strong perfumed cleaning products used in the room gave me a massive head ache.

We stayed in the apartment for 2 nights. (Luckily, only 2 nights.) The room is NOT clean. There are some dirt marks or spots on the wall and corners. There are 2 pieces of tissue under one bed table in the bedroom—not sure if they are clean or dirty. The room was recently painted, but it was definitely not done by a professional painter. It is even worse than DIY work, like corners not covered well, walls not smothly painted, and rotten particleboard under the fridge. Sound insulation is also pretty bad. We heard someone moaning for 10 minutes at about 3 am. That was very awkward, as we have a teenage travel with us. The photo of the dome corridor looks cool, but you won't get in there if taking the scary elevator. The elevator is scary as it moves very slowly but suddenly brakes with loud noise. It sounds like it may break anytime. Car park spots are very narrow. There may not be enough spots for every room, and usually all spots are fully taken.
