The Burbury Hotel was a wonderful place for our team to stay. We were coming to the end of The Science Project, our first ever national awareness tour. We loved every minute of it, but of course a month-long, non-stop road trip meant that our team had to be well rested! The Burbury Hotel provided exactly what we needed; plush, comfortable, quiet and airy rooms with fantastic customer service. The Burbury donated our stay to us. Thank you so much for supporting The Kids' Cancer Project! Generosity like this makes it so much easier for us to support childhood cancer research.
The Burbury hotel was a pleasure to stay in, easy to find and beautiful staff. The rooms are a great size and have loads of space. Bathrooms are clean and have a great choice of shower head. I booked through the site directly to receive 10% off a great idea for the hotel to run. The beds were very comfortable and large. The shutters within the hotel rooms are also a great touch for guess to sleep in. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
This hotel is a little surprise in Canberra, away from the corporate hotels and chains it was a pleasure to stay here for our 2 night stay. Great location to all of Canberra's restaurants and Floriade
My bff booked High Tea for 3. Found easy car parking at the front of the hotel. Made our way up to the 7th floor where we were greeted cordially and shown to our clean table by the window with nice views towards Lake Burley Griffith. Very attentive and courteous staff. Delicious mixture of various sandwiches, scones (with jam and cream) and desserts, catering perfectly for 3. Excellent choice of teas and coffee. We enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours savouring our 'high tea'. A wonderful way to catch up with friends. Very enjoyable!
I recently stayed for business and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel facilities are very modern with warm and welcoming staff. Special thanks to Billy from housekeeping who was a delight to speak during the room servicing. Will stay again.
I stayed at the hotel for two nights while in Canberra for business purposes. My initial room had a panel missing on the wall and an accessible bathroom. I went to reception to ask for a normal bathroom and a cleaner room but the second room I was given also had an accessible bathroom. When I brought the issue up with reception again, it was suggested that because I booked through Expedia this was the only room available. I usually stay at the QT in Canberra, where they generally provide an upgrade for frequent stayers and have great customer service. When I explained that, I was provided with a much nicer room than the first two - normal bathroom and nothing broken in the room. In the end my stay was good but the initial check-in experience wasn't great. Would only stay again if the price was right.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment is a walk away from the hotel and the pool and gym is across the road in the other hotel. For me, I was expecting it all under the same roof. We asked for a roll away bed but there really was no room to put it. Housekeeping kept the apartment clean, besides the stain on the lounge and the massive water stain in the carpet. The bathrooms, clean and huge. Water pressure is great. Kitchen is spacious with all needed utensils. Beds are really comfortable, and rooms apartment was warm and quiet. Porters, were well friendly. Check in, was poor as we did not even get a hello, nor welcome. She was abrupt. Check out was with another lady and was super quick and polite. Check your account, though as they charged me twice. It was a good sized apartment for three adults and two kids.
I was lucky enough to stay at this hotel for. Month whilst on business in Canberra. The room was very well equipped with all the luxuries you need. From the massive showers to the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time this was a great experience. TV in every room, modern kitchen facilities, and two state of the art gums to choose from. I'll definitely be back.
This is a good hotel with excellent service, ideal for the business traveler. Nevertheless the breakfast buffet is more on the average side. The iPod stations in the rooms are only good for iPhone 4 and could be upgraded. All other amenities are presented in excellent condition.
Had a very comfortable stay at the Burbury. Nicely appointed room and comfortable bed. Unfortunately they had a hot-water problem, the shower went cold and the hot water didn't come back. Disappointing breakfast. Otherwise everything was fine.
