WORST VRBO property ever booked - falsely represented and poor management
If we could give our experiences ZERO stars, we would. This property was severely misrepresented on multiple accounts. The description and pictures are the antithesis of what is experienced in person.
-IDEAL PROPERTY MALLORCA did not vet this property prior to listing it. The first time they stepped foot on the property was the day of our check-in. This was verified on a phone conversation after expressing initial concerns upon arrival. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY - they don't hold their properties accoutnable for what is promised.
- NO PROPER AIR CONDITIONING: Small, poorly functioning units ONLY which don't work and blow luke-warm air - the temperature in the house was not habitable or tolerable. None of the spaces are properly air-conditioned.
- EXTREMELY REMOTE LOCATION: NO WAY to find the home on Google Maps as the roads to the property DON'T EXIST on the map. The roads to the property are narrow dirt roads without signs, lights or landmarks. We would not have been able to navigate our way back at night or after dark.
- RENDERED/PHOTOSHOPPED PHOTOS: Listing on VRBO is not representative of what the property looks like in person. In the photos, the property is lush, green, meticulously maintained and has a spa/hotel-like appearance. In person, the property is dark, the land is brown and barren....also poorly maintained, dusty, and there were empty boxes immediately lined up at the entryway . Even the pool water was cloudy in person as opposed to pristine in the pictures. Filthy grill and none of the outdoor furniture pictured was there in-person
-DARK/POORLY LIT: NO ceiling lights and many of the lamps in the pictures were not present in person. No closets or any place to put away or hang clothing in the bedrooms.
-SOLAR ELECTRICITY ONLY: owner told us the non-functional A/C would have to be turned off EVERY time we left the house
- NON-WORKING CLOTHES DRYER - owner advised we would need to line-dry all clothes on an old dirty line outside
- POOR MANAGEMENT - when voiced concerns, no solution was offered. We were told to communicate with the property owner who does not speak English making communication impossible.
This was a miserable experience. We are avid travelers and have rented many VRBO properties in the past and have never had such a horrid experience. Finally, Ideal Property Mallorca has made no attempt to remediate the situation. Book this property at your own risk.
