The Fireside Inn & Suites is a very nice facility with a spectacular view. The building is old and a bit outdated but it was clean and comfortable. The balcony and the chairs there on could have been cleaner, e.g. sweep the dust, dirt and cob webs, wipe down the plastic seats and clean out the air conditioners, which are located where you sit. The continental breakfast provided plenty of options to fill us up as we headed out for a full day of exploring. The employees were very pleasant and helpful.

Great location and view. Thin walls let you hear your neighbors. Verandas nice but too tight to the neighbors.

The location, it’s right on the coast it was very clean easy access for some one who is handicapped. I would stay here again The only down fall was the tour buses that they had you couldn’t get anywhere near the food area to get anything to eat or drink so crowded

Nothing unique, great access to the outdoors and the beach Mold on the shower curtain and floor beds uncomfortable ancient coils the housekeeping staff nice, woman at the front desk not so much

Gorgeous location! Views can't be beat!! Hotel is exceptionally clean and love the room layout. If you like a soft pillow I'd suggest bringing your own though. My only real complaint is that on the first night, power went out in the hotel, which caused a loss of wifi and hot water to the entire building for several hours and no compensation was offered for this. Luckily I was visiting family and was able to shower and work at their home, but still felt some sort of compensation should have been offered for the inconvenience.

Good location Ancient amenities Halls had an unpleasant odor Breakfast was ok Not worth the price

Chose Fireside as our place to stay 3 nights during the annual Maine Celtic Celebration. Very easy commute to the venue from the hotel. Overall a pleasant experience. Room was clean, beds & pillows were comfortable. Room amenities included mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, iron/ironing board, safe, USB strip. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Hotel itself had nice pool and hot tub although couldn't get the sauna to heat up enough. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful albeit disorganized. All rooms have a lovely view of the Belfast Harbor although the outdoor lobby deck has a railing that completely blocks the view when sitting. Ha! Staff was adequate and mostly friendly. A little pricey but lots of bonuses.

Best hotel in Belfast, ME. The property is very quaint. The back of the property has grass that leads up to the water and multiple wooden chairs to sit on and gaze onto the beautiful water. The staff is super friendly and outgoing and ensures everything is perfect for you such as requested blankets and what not. The breakfast was really good: eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles... the works really!

The hotel was very nice compared to some of the others we had seen online. We chose this location because it was central to the areas we planned to visit (Acadia, Old Town, Camden, and Portland). The staff was great. Breakfast was good, not great. We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. The waterfront view from our room was nice, but there is a long walk down to the water so we didn't do it. The room had everything we needed but it could have been cleaner. There was dust on the table base and the carpet had not been vacuumed before our arrival. The elevator had a terrible musty smell that probably could be alleviated by a shampoo of the carpet or maybe replacement. All in all, we had a great stay at the Fireside Inn and would recommend it.

We have been coming here for years and love it. Great location to Belfast and fun for families by offering indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and large beautiful open field in back with views to the bay and with beach access. The complimentary breakfast is good and the attached resturant has a great selection of quality dinners. Great value over all!

Clean, quiet, comfortable room. The front desk staff accommodated an early check-in and also a room change. Would definitely stay again when traveling to mid coast ME. Hot breakfast was adequate.

Will not allow cancellation due to Blizzard Jonas... I had a reservation when they flooded several years ago and they cancelled me out.

Overall great value for the money, very pretty view! The breakfast buffet was superb, something for everyone.

Clean, well appointed room with comfortable beds. All rooms face the ocean and have patios or terraces. You can walk a few feet to the pebbly beach. Continental breakfast with many choices is included with price of room. Few tables are available and they are situated very close to the main desk. However, you can also eat out on the patio in good weather. Dinner with a free drink is also available at an adjoining restaurant. Also available are an indoor lap pool and sauna. The lobby area is very small and is furnished with small tables that serve as breakfast dining tables and with very few lounge chairs. The location is excellent--just a couple of miles from the downtown area of Belfast and not far from Camden, Lincolnville, Rockport and Rockland. I was impressed with the friendly, cheerful, and accommodating clerks. Yes, for the value, comfort and location I would choose Fireside Inn again.

We were on a 2 week vacation driving New England. We want to visit Belfast, so we booked one night at the Fireside. When we registered, they had me sign a paper saying we will not smoke in the room, we are not smokers so that's great for us. The first room they gave us had an awful smell of cigarette smoke. After complaining, they did change our room. The second room they gave us had a smell of mold, dog, and floral deodorant. By then, we just stayed in our smelly room. Thank goodness it was only one night.

I traveled from San Francisco to Belfast, ME for work. Wish I could have flown into Bangor or closer to Belfast, but had to fly in to Portland, ME airport. The nearly two hour drive was not the funnest part of the trip, but not the hotels fault. Belfast is a beautiful town with really nice people. The hotel sat right on the water and the 'Beach' was 100 yards away from my rooms back door. Staff was friendly, place was clean. No complaints on my side. Would stay here again if I ever found myself in the area.

Very clean, close to everything. Room was comfortable and spacious. I would recomend this hotel to friends and family for a night or weekend stay.
