Great stay at Quy Mill for 2 nights. The place was peaceful and well presented and the staff were so helpful. We were running the Newmarket half marathon and had to leave before breakfast, asked about getting something to eat early and a tray of wonderful continental selections arrived at our room bang on time. Food in restaurant was good and couldn’t believe it was £4 a pint at the bar too - bonus!

I’d read some poor reviews before going, but that wasn’t our experience! Our one night stay was very comfortable, the staff were wonderful, the breakfast was marvellous and the opportunity to use the pool after arriving was very welcome.

We had a nice overnight stay in this hotel, the evening meal in the restaurant was really good and the breakfast was excellent (we both had the delicious Eggs Benedict but also appreciated the fresh fruit pots and mini pastries). Room was clean and the only reason I've gone for 4 stars is that the plug in the bathroom sink got stuck although when we reported it to reception we were offered the chance to move rooms so they did try to rectify the situation. The only other thing to note was that our visit happened to coincide with a party in the marquee outside although the loud music did stop at midnight and we had received a message from the hotel earlier in the week warning us there was an event on so not a big problem. We're planning on a return visit to make use of the spa facilities.

Greatly In need of a refurbishment of bedrooms. But main restaurant is good for dinner, and senior staff good, position and stare good, pity the rooms needs some TLC and some work on sound proofing.
