Comfortable pitstop

Warm welcome from the friendly hotelier who was very patient with my attempts to speak French. I didn't attempt English so I'm not sure if they do speak English here. Room was fine: comfortable, clean and in good shape. A McDonalds, Buffalo Grill chain restaurant and a big supermarket are just next door. Vending machines in the lobby for after-hours snacks. I didn't eat breakfast. I don't think anyone would come here for tourism but this is a good choice of pitstop for passers-through. Excellent indoor bicycle storage if a little unsecured.

Comfortable, modern and functional hotel on the outskirts of Caudry. Well placed for visits to the First World War battlefields in the area in a region where such accommodation is sparse. Friendly staff and handy eateries close by. Note that you pay for breakfasts on checking out, unlike Ibis hotels, for instance, where you pay up front.

Lovely and Clean.

This is a lovely hotel. It has secure parking. The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and it was really quiet. It was clean and nicely-decorated. The only issue was the wifi, which was a bit hit and miss. We didn't have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. Thoroughly recommended.

Budget Hotel with excellent Bed Comfort.

The bed was very comfortable - The shower was good - Room although small was very clean and tidy - Air-conditioning seemed to be off so needed to open the window being on the top floor a lot of light came in the room from the LED around the roof eve of the hotel perimeter. I would definitely stay again if I was in Caudry. WiFi sign in was a bit of a pain with apple device. Breakfast was Ok. The front staff were friendly and helpful

Excellent value for money

The Akena is a perfect base if you need to be in the Caudry area. It provides good clean accomodation at a reasonable price. I would have no hesitation in going straight to it for my next visit to the area.
