The hotel is just a few moments walk from the cathedral and central square. My room was of a good size with a generous sized bathroom. The rooms and general décor reflect the 1960'/70's but the hotel is clean and the buffet breakfast at 10euro is good value. The entrance to the hotel is down a passage way which can be disconcerting, and there is no lounge as such, but the central location makes up for that.
A decent hotel , much better than a Bland Budget chain. The welcome was fine, the room was large and the location was perfect for a town visit. The Bathroom was particularly high Spec'. They have those magnetic strip room keys and I was warned not to place in a pocket near other cards, car fobs or mobile phones. etc. Returned at 23:30 to find ourselves locked out of room with "Reception Closed". After some anxious pacing about looking for a contingency or solution the receptionist appeared and saved us. Even though KeyCard was kept in separate pocket! perhaps a spare might help or even contingency instructions? The €10 breakfast seemed extravagant so we passed up on that, although alternatives on a Sunday, we found are few! Parking in square outside was free (Sundays and 1800>) be careful not to park under one of the several trees there! I did and had to visit the Carwash (in esso Garage on nearby roundabout) before daring to smear the wipers with the Bird Droppings. The hotel was overall a very nice place but do heed my tips.
Situated in centre if the city. Budget hotel. Small rooms. Parkingspace on the square across the street. Entrance in a small hall not the easiest to find. Restaurant around the corner, boulangerie next door.
My wife and I stayed here as a base for a coach tour of the region. The hotel has an excellent position in Lisieux, on the square overlooking the cathedral. Attractions/sites in the town are within walking distance as is the train station. As a B&B the hotel is excellent. Breakfast is obtained in a slightly unconventional breakfast area and is a good comprehensive continental breakfast. Our room was on he top floor at the back of the hotel so the view was not exactly stunning and a beam/roof support restricted the space in what was already a small room. There was only one chair in the room which was unfortunate as the hotel does not have a lounge area. The bathroom was reasonable with a walk in shower. The bed was comfortable and the room kept clean with towels replaced as required. As the hotel does not have a restaurant we had dinner in the restaurant below the hotel, (included in the tour arrangements) although there are plenty of other eating establishments in the town.
Very conveniently located close to cathedral and local amenities. Generous rooms, clean and welcoming. Mauve paintwork a bit dated. Excellent recommendation to eat at nearby restaurant 'Aux Acacias' offering fine dining at modest prices.
We stayed as a large group on a cycling tour. The manager was very accommodating and provided us with lock up storage and early checkin with no fuss. The hotel is right in the centre with plenty of restaurants and cafes near by. Great location. Rooms are a bit dated but clean, tidy and of a reasonable size. Breakfast is standard continental buffet. No idea what the steam oven in my room was for...
We found ourselves in Lisieux for an unexpected few days after our car broke down. It was a wonderful accident as it turned out. This hotel is really charming overlooking the central square and old cathedral in Lisieux. The owner manager couldn't have been more helpful. Its a little old fashioned but in a nice way. Lisieux is a fantastic place to visit for a few days with a really authentic French market on Saturdays. It is of course famous for the stunning basilica to St. Theresa. A really memorable experience.
Stayed for one night clean nice room, owner was very helpful and friendly stored our bicycles in the garage at no charge, hotel is right in centre of Lizieux, price is very reasonable. Lots of restaurants bars/caffees nearby.
Nice location, parking can be a little annoying as the machines only take the exact money. The restaurants are out of the hotel turn right and walk to the roundabout. We liked the one on the left. Breakfast was a buffet ( 10 euro each )on the 1st floor, the receptionist was good and helpful.
Not bad at all. We had a good size room at the top. Friends with rooms at the front complained about traffic noise but it is in the middle of town. All clean and tidy. And great value for money. Perfect for a couple of days in the city.
