very bad customer services , double charged payment no cleaning , staff is not helping Don't stay if you have to pay nothing worst experience never stay there again they don't trust hot wire email confirmation and charged the credit card twice for double payment they do with every one and after that they said to hot wire they have issue with the system
Booked on Hotwire and had no room available when we arrived late at night with two children. Hotwire guaranteed late check in time. Was refunded but unable to trust Hotwire again. Front desk service slow but was apologetic.
We stayed with family at the Okotoks Country Inn because we were participating in the Highwood Pass Gran Fondo. The inn is in a nice location set off the main road a bit 100 meters from a river path and very nice park. Staff were very friendly. The rooms were spartan but very clean and roomy. Breakfast was included and was very plain but it has everything we needed to fuel for a very long bike ride. The town itself is very nice with walking and biking paths everywhere. I wish we could have stayed in the area a day or two longer. Lots of interesting scenery near the town and lots of shopping for those that like that. L
We overnighted here last week and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. Check-in was a little slow and we suspect the individual at the front end was new; that said, he was also very polite and accommodating. As it is located on a busy street, we requested a rear facing room so there was definitely no view but the room remained quiet when the windows are open. It's also located close to any number of eating establishment and offers a discount if you choose to eat at Denny's next door. I walked the area the following morning and consider it to be clean and safe for singles or those travelling with a young family.
I had truly hoped my 1st review would be a positive one. sadly it is true that sometimes the only time you feel like making an effort to express yourself is when you feel you were treated poorly. I have had many incredible experiences at numerous places and I will strive to provide positive feedback to those places. In this case however, I have never been made to feel quite so incompetent when calling to cancel a room. The lady that answered the phone was short with me, rude, and completely unhelpful. Her words literally were "you book online, you have to cancel online". When I took the time to explain I booked through their website direct not a 3rd party website, I got the same response. When asked how you cancel their website as it was not clear, again I got no assistance. As a person that has operated hotels for over 20 years, I can accept a lot of off moments with people both staff and guests. This lady did not give the indication this was a one off situation. Just rude and not very hospitality oriented at all. For all I know she could be an owner (Friday afternoon at 1pm answering phones)... Never too late for anyone to learn the power of customer service. Take care, Dawn Anderson
Good location right on the main road into town. Lots of free parking and decent free wifi. You get a free basic continental breakfast with toast, cereals, muffins, milk, juice, tea and coffee. Unfortunately there’s only 2 tables with 8 chairs total so you’re pretty much required to take your food to go. There is a Denny’s across the street and you get a discount if you show them your hotel room card. The room was clean and beds comfortable. That’s the good part of the review. Now the bad. They take a $250 per night deposit or hold on your credit card. The room rate was $140 per night so it seemed excessive and unnecessary. The air conditioning was loud and the air barely cold enough. There are only 2 floors but there are no elevators so if you have a lot of luggage or have mobility issues, make sure you ask for a main floor room. Security in the hotel is questionable. You can walk in the front door and up the stairs quite easily without anyone at the reception desk even noticing you. If you’re in need of a quick economical stay and aren’t too picky, it’s an okay place.
Stayed one out of the two nights we had booked then found somewhere else to stay. The staff was very rude and not helpful at all, after we addressed the rude customer service they would not give us any information on the manager and how to get ahold of them. Was a terrible experience stay anywhere else.
Spent five days in the Okotoks Country Inn. From Wednesday August 1st to Sunday August 5th. Arrived there at 11am they said check in was at 3pm. If we could please come back they would be more than happy to check us in. All the staff was friendly and nice. Lots of parking, the grounds were clean. Room was clean and big. Would definitly go back again
I booked a room at this hotel in February and then cancelled it 2 weeks before I intended to stay. When I asked for a confirmation number for the cancellation I was told they didn't do that. My credit card was charged over $140. I have made at least 8 phone calls, the manager is never there and not one call returned. My advice - do not use this hotel they don't know how to look after their customers.
Booked on hotels.com hotel staff wanted to change all of the booking to the way they wanted it. Tried to bill our card for the whole stay even though we had chosen to pay when we arrived. And because they couldn't reach us before we got there they didn't want to let us stay when we did arrive. Rude, impolite, and unhelpful!
