Stayed 2 night in room 101, downstairs. Room very dark and customers walked past our window to come into motel. Good basic breakfast Bed too soft for me and husband but that's my choice. Had to wait for over 7 days before security deposit returned and that was after I rang them and my bank. Handy restaurants and bars across the road and big supermarket. Parking was next block up undercover. Had issues with TV not working but hotel got it working both days.

Like having a small apartment in the city as opposed to a hotel. Somewhat self service and all doors accessed via codes provided. Helps so you don't have to carry a hotel key around. Parking slightly inconvenient but manageable. Nice to have a balcony

Suits are very nice and come with a great patio. Great location very clean and staff is super helpful. A good location and a very nice hotel. A great place to stay. Rooms are large and very comfortable.

Clean and well-located. Right by Starbucks and Safeway is across the street. The room was a studio. As you enter the room there's an island with dinette. Microwave, k cup and sink in a wall behind that. Nice patio to relax on. Was able to get parking close by for an extra $10. Management was great and let us in our room a bit early after. Long road trip. We will be back.

At first glance on google and booking.com Nuvo looks like a wonderful place but this is all a facade. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted with the faint smell of garbage in our room of which we found hiding in a cupboard under the kitchen countertop. Second, the door of our fridge fell off and the hotel management blamed us for damaging their fridge. They had also concluded that we were hiding parts for the fridge from them in preventing them from being able to fix the fridge. There was no hot water. The dishwasher did not work. There were other young people in the hotel being noisy yet it felt like we were the only ones who were told we were "too noisy" and others continued being noisy afterwards. The safety lock on our door appeared to be broken off prior to our stay so there was no added security or safety to our room door. When we would speak to the management, they would avoid eye contact and only speak to one another in a language other then english. After checking out of the hotel we were told that we will not be getting our damage deposit back because of make-up/body paint left on towels and the shower. We are regular travellers and stay in many hotels and go to events all over Western Canada and have never experienced this. Nor can we find anyone who has had to pay their damage deposit for "dirty towels." As a young gay couple we feel like we were being targeted and discriminated against by the hotel management.

Me and my friend stay here for 1 night. There is no parking lot at the hotel but parking lot is just 1 block from the hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. Not only she help me taking my luggage to 4th floor, but she also take me to laundry room. Unfortunately that we forgot to ask her name, but really want to say thank you to her again. Room was great but I think shower cream and shampoo was not enough for 2 people.

Stayed here for 5 days in June while in Calgary on business. The good: The place is clean and the front office staff is friendly. The bad: Its a long climb to the 4th floor. One would hope the payoff is a view but the brick wall of the apartment next door didn't do it for me. The housekeeping department forgot about me the first day but that was easily corrected with a word to the front desk. I had to survive though on one little bar of green soap and one tiny bottle of shampoo as these were not replenished the entire 5 days. I found the room quite warm. My two options to correct this were a noisy portable air conditioner or opening the door to the balcony and subjecting myself to racing car engines, sirens and general shoutiness. At least the rooms were clean.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are modern & equipped with a full kitchen including a dishwasher. Bathroom was small, but fine for just myself. Comfy bed, clean & quiet. It was very warm so had to run free standing A/C all night which was noisy, so bring ear plugs. Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal & yogurt. Location is walking distance to 17th ave & Stephen Ave.

Couple of things you need to be aware of upfront, this small hotel does not have an elevator (lift) or any onsite parking (although it's very close). That being said the rooms are large and very well equipped, full kitchen, flat screen tvs and a big plus balconies! The AC unit is not build in but a stand alone unit, but is ok but I doubt you could sleep with it on. The bed was not the greatest and sloped towards the middle, which could be an issue for two people. The TV was aimed at the bed not the sofa which was odd so to watch the tv from the sofa you would have to move the sofa. So if I stayed again I certainly won't stay just for one night, the breakfast was fine, little odd to have bacon but no sausages and shame the TV in the breakfast room wouldn't turn on. Also worth noting even the ground floor is not accessible as you have to walk up 5 steps to get to it. Staff were very friendly and helpful

This is a great boutique suites hotel wich Ian perfect for a business trip. I recently stayed here for a week and was very comfortable- Grocery store is across the street and Starbucks in the store as well as around the corner. Excellent neighbourhood coffee shop "Bumpy's" is a block away. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate you. I had some issues with it being loud for a couple of nights as u was on the main floor and the people across the hall were coming and going quite a bit out the back door all night. When I mentioned this to the front desk they moved me to the fourth floor facing the street and he problem went away. I asked for a late check out (later than normal...) but was told I would be charged ...which surprised me given I didn't sleep for two nights and I had to be moved to avoid the constant noise from across the hall all night. At any rate, they cannot control their tenants I suppose. I elected to move up and it worked out. Good place to stay if staying for business reasons or for an extended stay.
